How do you guys feel about athletes not losing a yr even if they play

Am i reading it correctly that no one loses a yr by playing this yr? Basically, its a redshirt yr for every1 even if they already redshirted or play every snap....

Not really going to impact football, Best ones will still turn pro after three years. It will screw up the career record books, though.

The NCAA would likely have to raise the scholarship cap. Incoming classes would get screwed in the process otherwise.

Yeah, I don't see any other way. Any guesses on how many they would increase? I'd be surprised if it was a full 25.

I heard one of the radio heads...I'm thinking Golic mention that all seniors could play, not count against the 85. 25 signees could sign but however many hold overs there were that many would have to redshirt.

Example if UF kept 8 players from this senior class, 8 others would have to sit out the same year.

All speculation though.

So what, like an NFL practice squad? On the team but can't play? Because if it's just a redshirt, then they could play 4 games and keep the redshirt, and redshirts are optional anyway, you can always pull a redshirt off a kid if needed.

And, since they gave everybody an extra year, this would have to continue for 5 years until everybody with the extra year was gone.

These players are mainly trapped. So am I...I hope things get loosed up so all have some more space to live our lives. It's depression for a lot of people. This has been rolling for more than 6 months.
