Mike White will stop by Olympia HS in Orlando to see 2018 PG Ronaldo 'Rondo' Segu today. I also expect him at Windermere Prep to see four-star G/F David Nickelberry who picked up a Texas offer Tuesday and may soon get an in-school visit from Arizona.
Last night I reached out for an update on 2016 PF Yuat Alok but haven't received a response yet.
Something to keep an eye on is 2016 Victory Rock Prep PF Gorjok Gak. He signed with Oklahoma State but received his release from the Cowboys this morning. Gak unofficially visited UF in October and loved it. Florida has a chance here.
A couple of prospects who picked up lots of buzz this season, and are the type of players who seem to fit the way Mike White wants to play, are a couple of St. Benedict's (NJ) juniors. Center Bourama Sidibe (11.0 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 4.5 bpg) and combo guard David Beatty (18.0 ppg). Beatty is currently ranked No. 126 in the Rivals150.
Sidibe is currently unranked, due in part to uncertainty in which class he would be -- 2016 or 2017.
St. Benedict's plays Thursday at noon on ESPNU in the DICK’S Sporting Goods High School National Tournament.
