Hidden agenda not so hidden.....

Revealing about your character that what's affecting you emotionally is the postponement of a football game and nothing else happening in Florida.

believe me it wont affect me, just didnt think the gators would ever become scared to play a team. could have easily been relocated to B.R.

Was directly told this from a high ranking official on Foley's staff. Exact same person that told me "no way this game would be moved to Baton Rouge".

Did you see where I started a thread about that? Exact same UF athletic official.

Boom.

Why did they refuse? Are they pussies?
Riddle me this: if the game can't be played on Saturday, how in the hell would it be played on Sunday? With chance of power outages, unsafe traveling conditions etc. UF had every chance to move the game to a neutral site which in my opinion would have been better than playing it at LSU. But carry on. In all seriousness though I hope all of you guys living in Florida to please please be safe as you all are in my prayers!!!

boy howdy. Pretty obvious what was up on this. Not much real effort put forward by UF to solve it.

Another uninformed corn dog, Per ESPN UF offered to cancel their game on Nov 19 with Presbyterian and play the game then BUT LSU refused to cancel their game with So Miss or So Ala. Your AD did not put much effort in playing the game. Get your facts straight before coming on a rivals board and spot a bunch of BS.

If LSU would have cancelled on nov 19th(s.ala) then that would have been 3 road games in 12 days. So. Miss was never an option being as though UF is playing Mizzou that day. So boss, you may wanna do some "fact checking" as well

Sorry but sometimes the truth hurts. Facts are facts.

Hearing now both teams will effectively be ruled out for division titles without 8 official SEC games. FU zhod be ashamed of Foley and their athletic department

What really happened is that Jeremy Foley was afraid to play an unranked team at home so he fired up his weather machine.

Which would have only been slightly worse than 3 in 15 had the game been moved to Baton Rouge.

I am shocked, SHOCKED that LSU fans are butt hurt the game won't be played in Baton Rouge and feel the need to come over here and whine, whine, whine.

They are beginning to closely resemble FSU fans

I really do not recall them being such little bitches. Maybe it's the millennial LSU fans. It's disappointing if the old school LSU fans all of a sudden turned roast beef sandwich...but then again, their HC was just fired and the program is in complete disarray...so they need a common enemy to blame.

from a friend on another board;

LSU has always hated this series and lobbied hard in 2014 for it to change. Their AD is a moron who is probably out of a job next year. Add to that that their athletic department is not in great financial shape. They saw every opportunity to try and fetch another home game out of this imo. Now they are saying it definitely won't be played. I see that as them using leverage for help with buyouts and other financials. Bottom line, I was told we wanted to play later in the day on Saturday with LSU flying into Tampa either late Friday or early Saturday and they wouldn't do it.

Isn't it great when someone pees down your back and tell you it's raining.

LSU fans are projecting their wussy insecurities on us.

Hey, LSU fans, go eat a corn dog and lick the gutters on Bourbon Street.

Could have easily been played on Sunday. That was the first option. LSU refused.

This has now been completely refuted as false. Joe Alleva, the LSU AD offered to play the game at another time on Saturday in Gainesville, anytime on Sunday in Gainesville or anytime at all in Baton Rouge. Jeremy Foley did not want to play the game, period.

Jeremy Foley: "this is a very, very significant event, and it made it impossible to play this football game here in Gainesville on Saturday and Sunday." LSU offered, Foley refused. LSU offered neutral site and Baton Rouge, Foley refused. Now to save face, a possible offer to take away one of LSU's home games is leaked to a media member but never discussed with anyone at LSU.

Joe Alleva: Saturday at Gainesville, Sunday at Gainesville, any neutral site or Baton Rouge...Foley said no.

By the way, under similar circumstances, LSU gave up a home game and played at Arizona St. Last year, South Carolina moved their game to Baton Rouge. South Carolina and Georgia moved their game to Sunday this weekend.

At the end of the day, Florida wanted to rest their injured starters.

At 3:15 EST FRIDAY the Sheriff of Gainesville Fla. stated that at 4pm, he was shutting down the Emergency Ops Center as the situation had returned to Status Quo.

Game could have been played.

I understand that there was damage elsewhere in the state and the need to evacuate coastal areas where Swamp Chicken fans might live . But the folks stayed put in Gainesville and the hurricane didn't commit any serious damage there now did it?

LSU AD said the game will not be played and he laid the blame on Foley and his "Lack" of desire to have the game played.

What is most upsetting for all football fans is that on Saturday, the weather will be good with no rain. Game could have been played but they acted hastily. We all know how the press lives for moments like this by making it seem way more than it actually is. UF and LSU panicked, unless there was a hidden agenda.

Yes, and hurricane Matthew could have just as easily slightly veered west by 30 miles and everyone would have been FUBAR.

It's over, the Coon Dogs need to get over it. Either they are feigning stupidity, or they are just stupid.

I'm pretty sure a football game would not have been played in Baton Rouge 1 day after Katrina hit New Orleans.

Piss off, slurp shit, and die...in that exact order.

Stop with this...when Katrina hit New Orleans, LSU agreed to move their home game against Arizona St to Sun Devil Stadium.

So when is LSU coming to SC to make up your game with us ?
Unfortunately, we don't set those schedules. We gave SC the gate from that game, along with other donations. It was an unfortunate event, but SC an LSU pulled together and made the game happen under less than ideal circumstances. The fact is, LSU was willing to bend over backwards to play this game, and Florida refused every reasonable offer. It has been discussed over and over and the Florida fans just don't want to admit it. Those will remain the facts until I see Foley come out publicly and call our AD a liar. He won't because everything our AD said was the truth, and verified by more than one source.

Correct which is why South Carolina won't do it again and UF wouldn't do it. Lesson learned.

The LSU AD is clueless and on the verge of getting fired himself. He's the same AD that botched the whole Les Miles ordeal at the end of last season then comes out and says we are sticking by Miles only to fire him a few weeks into the 2016 season. He can't be taken seriously at all.

Scared of a rainstorm and LSU. These guys would hide from their shadow. Too delusional and frightened to even read the facts their AD refused all readonable offers. Need to move to ACC with the rest of their state
