Some of them are taking packaged Halloween candy and redistributing it, especially regular Hershey bars, as ingredients for Thanksgiving dinner desserts and using other stuff as filler for stocking stuffers.
This stuff has pretty long shelf life...and would be greatly appreciated by some kids, families who really don’t have much this time of year.
