One of the few SEC teams I was rooting for. Muschamp letting me down one more time.
Where is that South Carolina fan that made fun of our history at? Probably changing into Clemson gear right now.
Some liked his recruiting and defense, I hated his abysmal offense. We actually hired a worse coach and he made some nostalgic for boom.
I was nostalgic for the Gators of my childhood, the 90s and early 2000s.
McElwain is still worse. He’s an offensive guy who’s offenses were actually worse than Muschamp’s. At least Muschamp’s side of the ball produced when he was here.
Even I knew he had to go after 2014. He wasn't recruiting OL but wanted to be a power run team.
In general, I thought that he would learn and adjust and, while he did, I started to realize that his type of coaching just wasn't going to work anymore. Ten years ago maybe.
I actually bought into the Roper hire, I thought with his innovative offense and Chumps defense we might have something. I was blind evidently.

I also remember walking around Auburn at Locos having a pitcher of beer and talking to Michi basically saying that there was no way that Driskel, going into his junior year could get any worse.

I liked his defense, and I thought he really put in a lot of effort so I do have some respect for him, but by the time he was fired I think we all felt like it was time. McElwain was worse, no question, but hey... we saved some money that really helped out the underwater co-ed yodeling team.
Yeah it was before the Gamecock game, he essentially tried to dismiss our Spurrier and Meyer years saying we were nothing till the 90s.
