I like White, too. It's all about getting the players and while he's got this group of guys playing well together and giving it their all, his long term success is going to depend on whether or not he can recruit future NBA-ers like Billy D was able to do. I have no doubt he's going to win 20+ games just about every year, but can he win a championship - SEC or NCAA?
There's about 350 D1 B-Ball teams. How many win the NC each year?
How many have EVER won a single NC in their entire history?
In all the years that BillyD was at UF, he had exactly 1 group of 5,
mix & match players, that were good enough to be the NC's. In reality, having a
Final Four banner hanging in your house is almost as good as a NC, because that's how difficult it is to even get to one of those.
In football, it's going against the SEC team with the most NCAA cheater probation's in SEC history, and their GoB's
pay for play system.
In basketball, it's going against the SEC team with the most NCAA cheater probation's in SEC history, and their GoB's
pay for play system.
Both of them live on the
'Just Win Baby' motto. If that's what you want, then you might want to switch to those 2 schools, in those 2 sports.
And their are many very
'creative' ways to do the paying. Bags of $$$ is rare now days, with so may eyes out there, but there are still many other ways to get the
'paying' done, just ask sCam's dad...

That's always going to affect
'which recruits' go where....
Now, are you willing to be anything and do anything,,, just to win college games for
'entitled' fans, or would you rather just do well and maintain at least a fairly decent rep and the occasional shot at a NC, cause that's the choice to be made.
Cause the players that want a
'quality' UF degree and work for it, will get one. And the players that are good enough, will make it on to the NBA.
Noah 6'-7" was originally a 3 star in HS, Horford a 4 star, and Brewer a 5 star. So much for their HS star ratings and their NBA futures, because all are now NBA multi-millionaires, with Noah and Horford as 100 millionaires...
