Trump reinstated firing squads for treason last week.Kemp has to choose his poison. And both ways are poisonous. Blackmail sucks. but treason used to suck much worse.
Trump reinstated firing squads for treason last week.
What part of the Governor's statement is not correct?
"While we understand four members of the Georgia Senate are requesting the convening of a special session of the General Assembly, doing this in order to select a separate slate of presidential electors is not an option that is allowed under state or federal law.
"State law is clear: the legislature could only direct an alternative method for choosing presidential electors if the election was not able to be held on the date set by federal law. In the 1960s, the General Assembly decided that Georgia’s presidential electors will be determined by the winner of the state’s popular vote. Any attempt by the legislature to retroactively change that process for the November 3rd election would be unconstitutional and immediately enjoined by the courts, resulting in a long legal dispute and no short-term resolution.
Perhaps you are giving credence to J. Ellis, the self-proclaimed "Professor of Constitutional Law" .... but her college has no law school. LOL Maybe she's a qualified prosecutor of election law... nope never had a case in any circuit or federal court. Does she call on the same debunked witnesses as L.Wood and Kraken lady?

I can’t believe I had to spell that out for him, good griefThus @Nolec's confusion.

I can't believe he's posting here. I see the other sheep were smart enough to bunker down when the Texas case news dropped.
Not our resident legal expert LOL

The state legislature can call a special session without the governor’s consent if they’ve found alternative ways of picking the electors. The Ga. Gov. says that it is not an option for a special session to be called for that purpose.
By the time that one gets sh!tcanned, the Q wackies and the praying’ medic dude’ll have them jacked up about some other outlandish theory upon which the “imminent overturn” will occur...Texas case is a joke. Good luck. Less chance than the amended filing they say they'll make in Kelly's Pa. case that got shot down today. So. Much. Losing.
Constitution supersedes state law. Otherwise, why even have a constitution? What part of the Governor's statement is not correct?

Sort of like the Russia Hoax and the Ukraine impeachment? I’m sure you thought both were total BS since you’re spot on re: every issue.By the time that one gets sh!tcanned, the Q wackies and the praying’ medic dude’ll have them jacked up about some other outlandish theory upon which the “imminent overturn” will occur...
if it weren’t so crazy and sad, it’d be fun to watch...
Why doesn't this idiot get charged and tried for sedition?Watching the sheep get introduced to the Constitution in real time is a wonderful thing.
There is no such thing as the office of the president elect. This was a cute way the media is using to validate Hiden the winner. President elect has no power until inauguration. Why doesn't this idiot get charged and tried for sedition?
Joe diGenova, the attorney for Trump's campaign, said during an appearance on "The Howie Carr Show": "Anybody who thinks the election went well, like that idiot Krebs who used to be the head of cybersecurity. That guy is a class A moron. He should be drawn and quartered. Taken out at dawn and shot."
Sedition Defined
'' In other words, if you are conspiring or plotting to overthrow by violent force, harm in any way, or more specifically, kill any authority figure in government, you have committed sedition.
Sedition is a serious felony punishable by fines and up to 20 years in prison and it refers to the act of inciting revolt or violence against a lawful authority with the goal of destroying or overthrowing it.
Constitution supersedes state law. Otherwise, why even have a constitution?
And now you’re attacking the person and not the substance. Interesting.
Just put down the bong and just walk away slowly...........WTF are you even talking about? 🤣Show where in your Constitution, that the Ga. Governor must ever call a special session.

Show where the Governor has to be involved in calling a special session. Whoosh!!! Right over your head!Try to keep up. In post 17 The Ga. Gov. quote says the legislature can't retroactively change the 1960's Ga.Assenbly election laws. SO he could not call a special session to do so. Poster said it was not constitutional.
Actually the Supreme Court lives for this shit. For all nine of those justices this will be the most important decision of their lives and literally what they are remembered for forever. You don’t make it to the supreme court without wanting that.Like I already said, can't wait for all this crap to be over. I cannot believe the S.C. will want to get involved in any of it. Should not get involved, and they probably wont.

@Nolec knows he is wrong so he's trying to deflect.
State Legislature can call a Special Session and they can select state electors via the Constitution Article II. @Nolec and Kemp are wrong.
[/QUOTE
I doubt they can even get a special session called, but they don't have authority to retroactively override the election because they don't like the voter's decision. That's called a coup.

The US Constitution does not provide cover that that action.
The US Constitution does not provide cover that that action.
COTUS trumps Ga law in regards to presidential elections If Ga leg meets and appoint electors then I would believe SCOTUS would find that is constitutional.
And no one is mentioning that action but you. More deflection from @Nolec when his pride can't let him admit he was wrong.
If Ga. legis. meets and appoints electors contrary to the Ga. General Assembly laws passed in early '60's , then the Ga. Supreme Court would have a case to resolve for sure.
Seriously? Regardless of what aisle you find yourself on, as an American you should be absolutely livid at what has been uncovered as well as to what’s to come in the coming weeks. Our constitution and our elections are what make all of us free unlike other countries and this election has been nothing but a joke.Like I already said, can't wait for all this crap to be over. I cannot believe the S.C. will want to get involved in any of it. Should not get involved, and they probably wont.
As long as they follow the Constitution then they are fine. Sorry.

Bill, I can't exactly explain how I feel, but I just don't believe all this stuff that has supposedly gone on, and apparently the courts don't either. It's all too coincidental, and taking place in the states that not only Biden needs, but also that Trump needs so he can step in with all his bluster and righteous indignation. There is so much that keeps "coming to a head" it's like a pre planned game book. There is too much that sounds like a conspiracy that I can't keep up with it all. so I just keep reading shaking my head the whole time. Nothing happened in the other states Biden won? That also seems strange to me.Seriously?
