'Stuck in our own experiment': Leader of trapped team insists polar ice is melting

The leader of a scientific expedition whose ship remains stranded in
Antarctic ice says the team, which set out to prove climate change, is
"stuck in our own experiment."

But Chris Turney, a professor of climate change at Australia's
University of New South Wales, said it was "silly" to suggest he and 73
others aboard the MV Akademic Shokalskiy were trapped in ice they'd
sought to prove had melted. He remained adamant that sea ice is melting,
even as the boat remained trapped in frozen seas.

Global cooling was a concern back in the mid-70s when I as in middle school reading our "Weekly Reader", right next to the puff-piece info on Mr. Peanut, Jimmy Carter.....

But of course, researchers and scientists have to publish or perish, and why should climatologists do research on established global cooling concerns....when there *could* actually be a "global warming" crisis. And then after BILLIONS of dollars are spent on global warming research and the subsequent scare politics and costly government intrusion, and carbon cap policy development, etc......now where is the NEW research money gonna come from???!?!! ....Global cooling of course!

The careers of research and science are hardly pristine and pure in motive.......

Bottom line is that mankind cannot effect massive changes in the overall thermal heat balance on the +90% blackbody radiation system that comprises the earth
