Uh he only plead after they threatened to go after his son. He recanted when the exculpatory evidence, which showed he did not lie, that the FBI was hiding was discovered by his new attorney. The DOJ then dropped the case and a judge refused to accept the retraction or DOJs decision. This had not been done before as the judge was acting as the prosecutor in not dropping the case. The judge had to dismiss the case because Trump eventually pardoned Flynn to end the charade.

Again...must have missed the posts about the General officers lying about Hunters laptop being Russian disinformation. No good Father would let their son suffer going to jail, if coping to a plea and lying kept it from happening. Guy has more honor than most.

Oh if Sullivan could have found a way around a pardon he would have carried on and tried to ignore the retraction and sentence Flynn.

If he thought he had a chance with SCOTUS, on the unprecedented breach of separation of powers, in failing to dismiss when DOJ dropped the case, then he knew beyond a doubt SCOTUS would not challenge the pardon.

He dismissed because as he noted the case was moot.

But it was actually moot when DOJ dropped the case and that is where it was headed if it had gotten to SCOTUS.

Matter of fact nobody has testified about that laptop in the first place because the feds said it didn't exist and then decided it didn't matter.

Flynn was set up by Comey and then pled to a garbage charge because he was broke and they were threatening his family. Flynn lied but what he lied about wasn't illegal, so it was dumb, but he was snared by a perjury trap. It's what the Feds do when they don't have anything. Mind you, it's perfectly fine for them to lie to you. Don't believe me, ask a lawyer.
