Geez Miami is so bad....

Yep watched some of that and the offense is complete trash. The defense is decent but I think with Trask we would have beat them by double digits for sure.

Your boy Dan Enos that you were talking up in preseason is going to get fired.

He is fired for sure but not sure he is entirely to blame. That O line can't pass block to save their lives.

Manny might get fired as quick as Willy if this keeps up.

How can they be so abysmal on offense? At least when we sucked it was against SEC competition. Too much talent to get shut out by Lousiana Tech.

Isn’t he the QB coach as well?? The QBs never improved. It doesn’t really matter. I never thought Enos was a good OC and I’ve never thought Diaz would be a good head coach.

Yep he was Bama's QB coach also but it appears he is stuck in the basic offense stuff and is hard headed. He probably didn't call many of Bama's plays and his decent years at Arkansas are old concepts that don't work as good now

Weird how Miami hired from within a staff that went 7-6 and things didn’t turn around for them in a hurry. I guess there’s more to program building than yachts, keggers, rebranding by adding the word “The” in neon, and platitudes.

The crazy thing is they have gotten exponentially worse. Thank god they werent playing this bad when they played us otherwise Taggart would still be our coach

Let this thought sink in, Miami is so bad after that performance, that if they hired Willie Taggart as head coach, that'd be an upgrade for them right now.

I'm loving it.

Post Bowl Comments::
It's so bad that I didn't have the heart to add to the scUM thugs distress myself...
(that did not stop several others around the net)

~ Does Miami break out the 'turnover chain' if this performance causes staff turnover?

~ A few more years like this and the team is gonna have to be downgraded from the Hurricanes to the Miami Tropical Depressions.

~ Canes fall to 0-2 vs C-USA in 2019.

~ Miami just lost something called the Walk-On’s Independence Bowl in a 14-0 shutout and it arguably wasn’t their most embarrassing game vs.a Conference USA team in the last 33 days

~ They are just the 3rd team in FBS history to qualify for a bowl game in back-to-back seasons and fail to score more than 3 combined points.

~ Imagine telling a scUM thug fan after last year's 35-3 Pinstripe Bowl loss to Wisconsin, that they'd score fewer points in a bowl this year.

~ Louisiana Tech is a good team, but it needed overtime to beat Rice. It gave up 21 points to one-win UTEP. This is just a ridiculous level of offensive incompetency from Miami. :D:p:D

~ I’m guessing Miami misunderstood the Walk-Ons Independence Bowl and is ONLY playing walk-ons on offense.

I mean,,,, JUS-DAMN! o_O

It's not just that they have Manny Diaz, it's that they went to him on bended knee and begged him to come back. From TEMPLE, of all places.

In all seriousness, how can you possibly explain Miami’s downward spiral after playing us so well in the Orlando opener? They played tough as nails and damn near beat us. At that point they looked like a team that could play at a high level.

Did they simply dump everything that they had into that first game? Did we not play up to our potential? It is incomprehensible. Really not sure I have ever seen a team crash and burn quite like Miami just did...

Combination of first week crud most teams face and you were their Super Bowl. That whole fan base was chirping strong about Diaz and what he was about to unleash. He was the best used car salesman they’ve ever had and they all fell for it hook line and sinker. Its not like either of you looked like world beaters in that first game. They gave up ten sacks and dropped some crucial passes. Hell they were acting like they won the game at halftime with a 13-6 lead. You have better coaches. Your team even being one dimensional was improved by your coaches. Their staff found no way to improve a team with plenty of skill talent and a really good defense.

Miami played their best game and we have gotten a lot better as a team.

1st game and Franks at QB instead of Trask. I think Trask would have scored more with our receivers.

I will never forget the look on Spurrier's face when Franks almost gave the game away late.

When we talk about how bad Franks was in the Kentucky game (and he was so so bad) we tend to forget how awful he was in the Miami game. I'm sure in that picture Spurs is thinking he would have pulled the kid already for massive inability to play QB, he may even have told Mullen that in the offseason, that Franks just didn't have it. But Mullen isn't the Golden Boy like Spurs, he isn't a UF Heisman winner and beloved by the Faithful. Making the move when Franks was winning games was too big a risk. But I truly believe that Mullen was close to pulling the trigger when Franks got hurt. The injury just made his life a lot easier. No controversy, no "who's going to start" (a little with Jones, but not much), none of that.

Never, EVER want to see a guy hurt. NEVER. But am willing to admit that, on very rare occasions, an injury can help a team. And this was one of those occasions.

Pretty simple explanation IMO. It was the first game of the season and it was a rivalry game and one team improved and one regressed.

Imo it wasn't a risk at all its just Mullen is one of those coaches that doesn't like to replace the more experienced starter unless he has to.

Trask, Prescott and Alex Smith (Mullen was QB coach then I think) all weren't made the starter until an injury removed the starter from the game and they showed they were much better QBs right away after taking over. Though Mullen was finally going to bench Franks last season before Trask got injured in practice.

'Transitive Property' discord-disconnect really exists I guess... :D

We will always get Miami’s best shot. It’a one of them Cane things.

But don’t forget that as bad as we tried to hand them the game, they just wouldn’t take it. That and our 10 sacks.
