Gators Ranked Seventh in ILWomen/IWLCA Preseason Poll
Florida set to start the season Feb. 12 against Kennesaw State
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Florida lacrosse team will begin its 2022 campaign ranked No. 7 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association/Inside Lacrosse Women's poll, as announced on Monday.
The 2022 season marks the 12th time in the program's 13 seasons that the Gators have been ranked in the IWLCA poll.

Florida is set to face seven ranked opponents during the 2022 campaign. Florida takes on second-ranked North Carolina on Saturday, Feb. 19 in Gainesville, Fla., then follows that up with a road trip to No. 9 Maryland on Feb. 26.
The Gators then return home to face No. 6 Stony Brook on March 5 before back-to-back contests against No. 10 Loyola and No. 3 Syracuse. The final two ranked teams Florida is set to take on are No. 22 Temple (April 23) and No. 18 Jacksonville (April 27) - both in Gainesville, Fla.
Florida is coming off a stellar 18-3 record during the 2021 campaign, finishing with an appearance in the NCAA Quarterfinals. During the year, Florida went a perfect 10-0 in conference play, winning its 10th-straight conference title. The Gators also clinched the AAC Tournament Championship - their seventh-straight tournament championship.
