I wonder why they felt the need to have that article now. The big donor wanting people to know he isn't making the decision here?

Considering who is releasing this I guess one reading could be its a sign of support for Stricklin himself from the biggest booster. Not mentioning Mullen himself and only the decision making when talking about internet message boards could point to that. People say Stricklin hangs out more with the big boosters than Foley did.

2) According to Gary the timing is insignificant as they started working on this interview/story months ago
3) Stricklin is the ADs name.
