Gators’ Snap Counts in Las Vegas Bowl - Miller - All 57 & He Made Them COUNT - All the Way to 3 Points

Snap counts for Gators vs South Carolina

Obviously Napier got a lot of players into the game !

OL
Herman & Waites got a few snaps, but both of them need to drop 20 lbs to move quicker; Barber did & he is getting more snaps.

73- Kingsley Eguakun - got all the snaps ?

65- Ethan White

62- O’Cyrus Torrence

56- Michael Tarquin

51- Richard Gouraige

42- Austin Barber - 6-6, 312

20- Richie Leonard

8- Kamryn Waites - 6-8, 373

8- Jake Slaughter

7- Christian Williams

7- Jordan Herman - 6-8, 370

7- Will Harrod

Once again, the Gators are primarily rotating seven offensive linemen this season. Napier was able to get 12 offensive linemen into the game this Saturday; that’s critical because the backup unit hasn’t had many opportunities to get into the game this year.

DL
29- Gervon Dexter

27- Princely Umanmielen

25- Antwuan Powell-Ryland

21- Chris McClellan

17- Desmond Watson

16- Justus Boone

16- Jalen Lee

15- Tyreak Sapp

10- David Reese

9- Chief Borders

8- Lloyd Summerall

6- Jack Pyburn

6- Jaelin Humphries

Florida got 13 different players into the front four on Saturday afternoon. The defense wasn’t on the field for many snaps and the Gators were able to rotate a ton of different players in. Chris McClellan jumped Desmon Watson in snaps this week; I’m a big fan of top four being the group the Gators go with moving forward.

Only 42 Gators received snaps in week 12. 61 Gators received snaps a week ago.

QUARTERBACK

68- Anthony Richardson

Napier "cleaning out" QB Room - Kitna only one with ANY game experience & his is VERY limited.
10 of 14 for 181 yds, 1 TD, no INT

AR - off to NFL - who knows ?

IMO, Miller will be in portal soon; Brown has been ignored & likely to transfer - Shark Boy will take him in a heartbeat.

Rashada, we hope is inbound, but a true FR with NO SEC GAME EXPERIENCE means we are likely to repeat the errors of this year.
He also represents a single point of faiure - 1 injury away from disaster.

IMO, with Napier trying to act as HC, OC, & QB coach - a task which has generated poor results - the odds of luring a good - much less great, transfer QB are poor.

RUNNING BACKS

48- Montrell Johnson

20- Trevor Etienne

WIDE RECEIVERS

59- Daejon Reynolds

56- Justin Shorter

54- Thai Chiaokhiao Bowman

Marcus Burke made the start in the contest but only registered 9 snaps. Ricky Pearsall was injured early in the game, allowing Bowman to log his season high 54 snaps. Caleb Douglas saw a decrease in snaps, losing them to Daejon Reynolds who logged a career high 59 snaps.

TIGHT ENDS

46- Dante Zanders

25- Jonathan Odom

Odom didn’t log as many snaps as he did last week as Zanders led the way in the tight end room.

68- O’Cyrus Torrence

68- Kingsley Eguakun

58- Ethan White

55- Richard Gouraige

52- Austin Barber

Michael Tarquin saw a decrease in snaps due to ankle injury he suffered during Saturday’s game. The staff primarily went to Austin Barber and Richard Gouraige at the tackle position.

Hard to get a Read on the running game; we seemed to abandon it early & let AR try to win the game throwing it.

Vandy hung 31 points on our defense - enough said.

Gators' red-zone offense has been a red flag, ranking last in SEC

Through 11 games, the Gators rank last in the SEC and 119th nationally in red-zone conversions, scoring just 75 percent of the time.

It would be great if that rumor about the Wake Forest QB coming here is possibly true. That guy is pretty good even when his team is outmatched.

Fever,

1. Hope you are correct about the WF QB;

BUT -

UF has NEVER had a transfer QBs worth talking about.& after Miller - FLASH - a Transfer from the Ohio State University !!!

I refuse to hold my breath & expect much of anything from ANY QB who Transfers into UF !

2. A question for you - Fever
You watch more game film & are more analytical than I am.

Looking at AR's snap count (68) & the total for the 2 RBs who played (68) my analysis is that we only ran 68 plays from scrimmage against Vandy (DUHHHH, right ?).

Preseason, all Billy & other KNOWLEDGEABLE observers talked about was working from a 12 formation - meaning 2 TEs in the game at the same time.

46- Dante Zanders
25- Jonathan Odom

Why do the snap counts for the TEs only add up to 71 ?

71 - 68 = 3

If my math is any good (not guaranteed; Cum Laude was the best I could do) we only ran double TE sets 3 times in the whole damn game -

WTF is going on with Billy & his offense ?

Jeff Puzzled from Jacksonville !

Gators’ snap counts in Las Vegas Bowl

57 on offense
114 on defense ?

QUARTERBACK

57- Jack Miller

With Anthony Richardson and Jalen Kitna not with the team, Jack Miller got the start and played the entire game.

Good job Billy - the game was on the line, Miller was firing on all cylinders, & we certainly didn't want to disturb his rhythm by BENCHING HIM !

WIDE RECEIVER

46- Ricky Pearsall

31- Caleb Douglas

31- Xzaiver Henderson

25- Ja’Quavion Fraziars

21- Kahleil Jackson

07- Thai Chiaokhiao-Bowman

I think you got a great look at what next year’s WR room consists of.

Ricky Pearsall has yet to decide on the NFL, and that could be the most important decision of the offseason for the Gators.

B.S. Jack Miller's $NIL deal far more important.

Walk-on Kahleil Jackson logged 21 snaps in the contest. Caleb Douglas received significant playing time once again, which bodes well for the true freshman’s future.

DEFENSIVE LINE

56- Antwuan Powell-Ryland

46- Gervon Dexter

41- Princely Umanmielen

32- Desmond Watson

27- Chris McClellan

25- Tyreak Sapp

18- Jack Pyburn

18- Justus Boone

15- Jamari Lyons

02- David Reese

01- Byrce Capers

The Gators worked in 11 different players along the defensive line. Jamari Lyons set a season high in snaps and Jack Pyburn tied his season high. I loved that Napier played Pyburn over David Reese, despite Reese being higher on the depth chart. One has a promising future with Florida, and one is in the transfer portal. That was the right decision for the program.

Don't see ANY Snaps for SET THE END !

I keep on wondering why they bothered to being in and pay ship-$$ to that crappy deaf-dumb-&-blind Fr QB????

I mean, they already had two rsSo walkon QB's, so he certainly wasn't needed to carry a water-bucket or to be a practice time tackling dummy....

And with a 6-7 / 3-5 Record, they certainly couldn't afford to play him a series or two, here and there, just to see....
🙄
(I admit it's not what I had in mind for the new & improved Billy-ball)
