Game cancellations

Several games are cancelled this weekend.
Do you see the SEC cancelling our game with LSU on Dec.12th if we clinch the division Dec.5th against Tennessee? There would be no point to play LSU or risk injuries.
This would equalize Alabama missing a game and give both Florida & Alabama a week off, assuming we run the table (Which we should).

To be blunt, no. They want to play all the games, and the idea that they would do anything to help a team that was going to play Bama is crazy.

I'm hearing both Florida & Alabama will have a bye week the week before the SECCG.

As of now, looks like 4 of the 7 scheduled games are postponed. The marquee UK-Vandy matchup is still a go however...

What’s going on with Terry Wilson? Did he just get benched or has he left the program?

There were rumors of him leaving the program a few weeks ago. He played a really bad game vs. Missouri back on 10/24. The whole team played poorly in the loss, but his poor play really stood out.

He had a really solid 2018 season. He was injured in a horse collar tackle the week before the Florida game in 2019, and tore some ligaments and missed the remainder of the season.

On a personal note, he and his girlfriend had a baby girl at the end of August. He just doesn't seem to have it this year; not sure if it's physical, psychological, or a combination.

The week leading up to the Georgia game on 10/31, he was listed as injured (a mysterious thumb injury), but the rumors were that the coaching staff was basically giving him time off to think about his future.

Auburn transfer Joey Gatewood played vs UGA. He did OK; certainly not lights out but not terrible either.

Now, what we're hearing is that the coaching staff is going to let him start vs Vandy. This is a head-scratcher. I appreciate Terry's contributions but in my opinion the UK staff needs to be looking to next season. We have Gatewood and another RS freshman QB. Those guys are the ones that need to be playing.

Ok thanks for the all the info. I had heard Wilson just wasn’t into it that much anymore. Wilson is the much better QB if he’s “all in” Your opinion of Gatewood is different than mine. I think Gatewood is terrible.
