I think Wake is a lock to make the tourney regardless of that result. I said it when we beat FSU that it would not end up being a good win when it comes to “NCAA tournament selection”. Hamilton has had some good seasons but he sucks in the NCAA tournament where it really matters. Similar to Regular Season Rick Barnes. Coaches that can’t get it done when it really matters.
What is it now, 9 NCAA appearances in his 20+ years of coaching FSU? Let's hope we don't see this at UF with Mike White.
The Gators were much better. They went 3-23 from the arc vs UK, getting out-classed by Cal-Cheat...
But that kind of stuff never happens to real quality coaches....

Who would of thought the SEC would pass up the ACC in bball? It actually may stay that way for awhile. SEC with all the revenue the schools are making are now starting to invest in basketball.
Does the SEC have anyone left other than Arky? ACC still has UNC, Duke and scUM.
Well the SEC was certainly overrated when it came to college basketball this year. A lot of good coaches in the SEC now but certainly underachieved.
I heard that Miami was the only team in the tourney with all 5 starters over age 20. They proved that experience can play a big factor in a deep run.
What sucks for Miami is their coach(who got an ass whipping at the hands of the 2006 UF team while at George Mason) is about as old as Leonard Hamilton, but with a far more successful career.
It helps for sure. We had 6 seniors on our team this year and we made the NIT. That is how bad we needed a coaching change.
