Florida Gators right-handed pitcher transfer commit Michael Ross has been selected in the 18th round of the 2024 MLB Draft. The Minnesota Twins selected Michael Ross on Tuesday with the 548th overall pick of the 2024 MLB Draft.
Ross was one of the top transfer pitchers available this offseason. The former Samford right-handed pitcher is coming off an excellent 2024 season and could be a key arm for the Gators if he decides to stay for another season.
During the 2024 season, Ross made 15 starts for the Bulldogs. Ross posted a 13-0 record with a 3.27 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 88 strikeouts in 96.1 innings pitched. Ross also posted an 8.2 K/9, 2.0 BB/9, and pitched one complete game shutout.
