Is it true Florida has not played an out of conference opponent outside the state of Florida since 1991?

Makes the opener in Dallas a little more interesting.

Not to start the season with a new QB.

So we are just changing the narrative to suit, are we?

Zaire will be new to UF, but he has sufficient collegiate experience to not be overawed.

Just as big a question is, will meatchicken start Speight, with his incredibly average talent AND coming off a serious injury, or Peters, with zero experience?

Here's another tidbit for you. Dallas was 95 degrees today, Gainesville was 90 degrees. Ann Arbor was 77 degrees. The blue and maize are going to MELT in Dallas. They better get up big early, because they are going to be useless in the second half.

Is it true you dropped Arkansas because Arkansas plus ND was 'too tough'?

And I will gladly flip you an OOC opponent and you can play Florida St OOC yealy. Sound good?

we open with a top ten team Michigan first game, this petty argument is dissipating quickly with mac, and FSU to book end it... then Miami again next year...

And UF doesn't play OoC FSU out of state to end every season either, so what? UF also won't play OoC Miami out of state to begin the 2018 season, wanna switch opening and closing opponents with UF?

UF 1996 mNC ----- UF 52 - 20 FSU -- ACC
UF 2006 BCS-NC - UF 42 - 14 tOSU -- Big Ten/12
UF 2008 BCS-NC - UF 24 - 14 Okla -- Big Twelve/10

Now, list all of your NC's since 1996 for us.... o_O

Has your team ever played a 9 game SEC schedule, while opening with Miami and ending with FSU?

The SEC is a conference with multiple teams with multiple NC's, unlike any other conference in the nation.

zzzzzzzz

Kind of a silly question.

Might as well ask Tom Brady why he's never won a World Series

FSU did visit Michigan in the OutHouse in 1991 and humiliated them. Wonder why you didn't keep them on your awesome powerful schedule the rest of the 90s??? I would ask you remember Terrell Buckley's pick 6 on a screen pass but something tells me you likely weren't born yet in '91

I could also go get the clip of Lloyd Carr literally in tears because poor, poor Michigan had to go out to Oregon. And that was even before Chip made them a force.

But please, come back and talk more trash about our schedule.

One of my favorite memories. Also remember our kicker missing about 4 extra points in that game.

Jimjim, did you really get an ITG subscription because of this one game? Wouldn't your money be better spent on a OSU or MSU board? But hey, I guess that's flattery if you did.

Jim jim with 2 posts total .... and they're just in this thread. Poser?

BTW do you know Speed Racer?

This argument has always been dumb AF. The setup for 95% of Power 5 schools is one Power 5 school OOC, a mid major, and then an FCS team. We play FSU OOC yearly who has regularly been a top 10 caliber team for most of the last 30 years, is the argument that game isn't tough just because it's in state? Cool, maybe we should drop FSU and schedule Indiana OOC, it's farther away so it has to be a tougher game. Then our rivals would be happy.

The other argument they make is we never come 'north'. Which I find hilarious because all Little10 OOC are at the beginning of the season when its in the 70s. Even at the end of rhe season its not that cold and its not like its snowing. I say bring your fat boys down to Florida to open the season when its 115 degrees on the field.

Its just something for them to cry about.

Just lke MeatChicken fans whine about schedules of their opponents but tOSU has had home-home with Texas, Miami, USCw and Oklahoma the last decade. MeatChicken dropped Arkansas because the could NEVER play Arkansas and ND in the same year. lol. The whiniest fan base in America. They want everyone to beat each other up so they can make it in on their name because they won a lot of games when players wore leather helmets

Your schedule is fine, oozie...who gives a crap WHERE you play, it's WHO you play. FSU has always needed to go outside of the conference and/or state (until the past couple of years) to play quality opponents. You guys typically haven't had to do that...play some tough SEC teams and FSU and your SOS is fine and dandy.

Yep i agree. As the ACC gets better FSU won't have to do that as often either.

UF has not played an away game in that long i believe. They have played neutral site games but dont think they have played an away game

Isnt there some deal where UF gets an extra home game or something becuz of the stadium. Heard it was true nvr cared to look it up

UF only had 5 home games in 2016.

FSUcks had 7 home games in 2016.

Because LSU got the game moved to their house in 2016,
UF will have 7 home games for 2017, with 3 away games,
along with 2 neutral site games against Mich and UGA..

So there is no deal with ben hill griffin and him donating to the stadium about playing 7 home games? It was a nole who tole me this so i took it with a grain of salt but was curious and too lazy to do the research

We only had 6 home games. Ole miss was played in orlando. Neutral site

Ahh, and did they try to tell you it was a home/Orlando game, the way some twits tell UF that Jax vs UGly is a home game for us?

UF normally has 6 home games (played in the SWAMP). They call the WLOCP a home game in alternate years, for the purposed of the game, but anyone with a brain knows that it's a 50/50 ticket and so there's no fan/crowd advantage to either school.

UF alternates yearly between 3 Home, 4 Away, then 4 Home, 3 Away in SEC play, with UGly at the neutral Jax site.
I believe that everyone else in the SEC gets 4/4 every year.
2nd Tier and D2's usually makes up the home games difference for UF.
To have enough home games, they need to play a team that doesn't require a return game.

And when is the last time Bama didn't open with a stud? Or how about Michigan dropping Arky? And I would trade Vandy (with Mason), USCe (with Chump) and Kentucky (Stoops has recruited well for that school) for Indiana, Illinois and Rutgers everyday and twice on Sunday.

The ONLY thing the BIg10 can claim is PSU, tOSU and MeatChicken is a pretty tough top 3 in a division. But there are D2 schools better than the bottom half of the division
