A good friend who is a big Ga fan keeps up on the recruiting trail and constantly brags about how Kirby is loading his current roster with 4 and 5 star recruits. He states how he ( Kirby) is able to make a connection with the kids by having concerts with big name rap artist that these kids identify with, Why aren't we pulling stunts like this? My buddy also states that Kirby has commitments from o line men that are only in there freshmen and sophomore years in high school. He states he is locking up our offensive our offensive tackles for 3 years down the road. They also have two stud quarterbacks in the next two years already verbally committed outside of Eason. We certainly are not on the same level of recruiting as Kirby. How do we get there and more importantly, how do we expect to beat them when they are loading a roster similar to Alabama, Why cant we lock down top prospects one 1, 2, 3 years out like they are???? A roster loaded with three stars will not consistently beat our opponents. We need these highly ranked recruits that can step in and play ASAP, not guys that need to redshirt for a year to catch up. Has Kirby brought with him from Alabama ways to circumnavigate the NCAA when it comes to recruiting? And if so, we better learn the same maneuvers or else we will have many long seasons playing second fiddle. There is no reason why we should be accepting guys that were back up plans to these other schools. Go Gators.
