First I'm hearing - nothing on other sites that I've read.

Last year, Mullen helped Franks make the largest-efficiency leap in the Power 5 of any starter (nearly 30 points in QBR!) and by season’s end, Franks was winning MVP honors at a New Year’s 6 Bowl game. Given the historical progression of second-year starting QBs under Dan Mullen, a Peach Bowl MVP could be just the beginning for Franks and the Florida offense.
The only bright side that I could see from that, if true, is that HC/OC/QB's Dan has had experience using 2 QB's (Leak/Tebow) and so he could probably get a combination of Trask/E.Jones up to speed in the next 2.5 months....

Hopefully its BS or just a sprain that will just take a few weeks to heal. He needs to be able to play in camp so he is ready for Miami. I guess camp will start late July due to when the 1st game is.
I looked around too, (not an insider of any kind myself) but I've seen nothing. Where did you get the rumor from?
Another site. The guy says he was being checked out at a medical facility but that he hasn't got the info on what happened exactly but that its his ankle apparently. I am thinking it might have been precautionary for a minor sprain possibly.
The story might be BS but haven't heard anything else. I think if he had any type of fracture to his ankle it would be out by now so its probably a pretty minor sprain if it turns out there is anything to it. He would be good by camp.

The consensus among the college football preseason magazines, talk radio and social media is that Florida has a chance to be really good in 2019 if steadily-improving quarterback Feleipe Franks takes the next step under Dan Mullen in year two.
“I want to hopefully be one of the best quarterbacks in college football next year,” Franks said. “I do feel like I’m heading in the right direction. Coach Mullen and QB coach Brian) Johnson are doing a great job of paving the way for me and helping show me what to expect and how to do things. I follow them and soak it all up. Being under their wing has been the best thing for me.”
