I will do the Gator one first for me, I think the best play for the Gators as a non gator fan was the Oklahoma UF championship game. I remember so many people talking so much shit about how OUs passing attack would light the Gators up but then the first play of the game (think it was first play), they try to go deep and the safety nearly decapitated the OU wr lol I was watching the game with an OU fan that day and the look on his face after that play was the realization that he was wrong and had been lied to. He told me after the game how shocked he was at that play.

For FSU it's a tie between Benjamin TD against Auburn or Dunn down the sideline (sorry boys).

What is your favorite individual play of all time?

SO many to pick from…especially during the Spurrier tenure…

but sadgator will go with the fourth down Wuerffel to Anthony TD in Knoxville in 1996…it symbolizes the way we played under Steve and the balls he had…

Being a 90s guy myself, it's impossible to choose one because there's a ton of them. So I'll pick one from recent times being the Big Hit Brandon Spikes put on UGA RB Knowshon Moreno in 2008! Ferocious and it set the tone to destroy the Mutts that day and preserve our dominance over them. Score was 49-10 I believe!

There's so many -
Stop and Pop - already mentioned;
Green's Behind the Defense - also mentioned;
Doering's Got a Touchdown!;
But my favorite is Lawrence Wright's hit on Joey Kent. We were training the first half and this hit changed the tone of the game - very similar to Wright's hit on the OK receiver. Scored 48 unanswered points in that game and ultimately won 62-37.

I chose the “Stop and pop” not only because it was a great play but it was in a national title game.
The Lawrence Wright hit was nasty.

I remember that. Sniffers were talking so much shit about how they were going to run all over them and Spikes let them know immediately it wasn't going to be an easy day. Good choice

These are all good. Gators have had a lot of them. I think the Major Wright hit is at the top of my list. Crazy to say it, but that game was over after that hit.

Another play I loved was at LSU when that tipped ball went to Harvin and he just ran away from LSU’s secondary. That was where I realized how fast and talented that team was and that we were probably going to win another natty.

The Callaway td against UT was incredible but ultimately meaningless.

To pick a play(er) from my time in Gainesville that doesn't get mentioned enough.....

C-4 aka Ciatrick Fason had some key plays when the Zookster led ragtag Gators with true frosh Chris Leak went into Death Valley and upset and gave the eventual national champions Saban led Bayou Bengals their only loss of the season.

Go to 8:50 and 13:28 of this vid to see C-4 seal this victory in the late 3rd and 4th quarters.

C-4 beat the dawgs that year as well if I recall.

C-4 didn't get much play in that game, but did have a nice play at 8:24 in this vid, but speaking from one North Jersey acquaintance to another, the only Gators TD in that victory was none other than Hoboken's own Carlos Perez, at 8:40 in vid.

That is the game I was thinking of. I remember him making a big play on the final drive. Maybe it was a catch and run?

Me and friends were sitting on the wrong side of the Florida/Georgia line and absolutely ran for our lives when the winning kick went through.

How ‘bout this one…

yep, we know it’s not a catch…too bad Tennessee…lol…
That was during my first semester at UF as a wee little freshman lad and University Ave was chock block of students celebrating after the game. People were up the light poles, cars trying to get through, it was loud and crazy, haha. I was in front of The Swamp Restaurant taking it all in.

Damn that's a bad call lol
Actually, it wasn't. That was the correct call based on the rules at the time, which said when the ball is secured the play is dead, and no matter how briefly it was for, the ball was secured. After that season they changed the rule to state that a football play had to be completed, or some such. If you want to say it was a bad rule, that I will agree with.
