I see two possibilities:
1 - There's been a massive increase in illegals trying to sneak into the US via the Southern border, which has resulted in a surge in apprehensions.
2 - The current administration is doing a much better job of policing the border than the Trump administration did.

BTW, I'm totally fine with #2 being the truth. We MUST get the Southern border secure and stop the flow of illegals into the country I don't care WHO gets credit for that, as long as it happens.
But I'm curious how the dems would respond. If #2 is what is happening, that means Biden is putting what's best for America ahead of what's best for his politics.

Not sure why you are @ing me. I have repeatedly said that the Democrats should take border security more seriously than they do.
I asked the dems to chime in and they refused. Guess @fatman76 wanted to reach out to three independent posters here.

I’ve said many times that illegal immigration and trans stuff are two key issues where the Democrats needlessly alienate voters. They could easily take a more centrist approach to both without losing many voters—certainly not more than they would otherwise be alienating.
Half the current GOP got elected by doing almost nothing except continually flogging these two issues that Democrats continue to serve them on a silver platter.
Roll back the clock 15 years and you could say the same thing about gay marriage. You know, back when obama, hillary and hiden opposed it?
This is what the left does: It adopts issues that most of America is opposed to, that support their politics. Then they beat the nation over the head with the issue till enough people give in on it just to get them to shut up about it.

The chart shows the number of illegals caught, BUT says nothing about HOW Biden is releasing them into the country while Trump sent them packing.
Not really putting what's best for America. By releasing them into the country, many without even being given a court date, that is 2 to 4 years into the future.
I linked to a second chart of 'gotaways'. They are WAY up under Hiden.
I think this is intentional, there were fewer apprehensions under Trump cause the illegals knew they WOULD be apprehended under Trump. So they didn't try.
Under Hiden, they know it's an open door policy, so they flood the border.
Trump can apprehend 95% of the illegals, Hiden can apprehend 25%, and still have more apprehensions, so it 'looks' like Hiden is doing a better job of border control.
That's my guess. Would love to discuss with Hiden supporters, but they are acting like they don't see this thread.

See in China you can have all the locks and alarm systems you want, that's not what keeps your house from being broken into.

Frankly, us affluent Americans financially benefit from illegal immigration.
These people are exploited to a disgusting degree. Furthermore, the most economically vulnerable Americans (most are not Republican’s) are crushed by illegal immigration.
