Emory Jones 1st QB off the bench

Toney is replaced by Copeland.
Henderson is replaced by Elam.

Life goes on.... :cool:
==========

Asshats of the week awards, for their on the field selfish behavior:
Defense - Slaton, -- with little to no reason to strut in the 1st place.
Offense - Jones, -- replaced Franks endzone shime, youth led asstray....
(look at MEEeeee, look at MEEeeee vs TEAM)
-----

Currently off the asshat hook, Franks....
Moon was close to getting the award, so straighten up and fly right...o_O

Do your job to the Gator standard and act like you've been there.
That will get you positive attention without you needing to be a selfish asshat...
Most of the FNG's were doing it correctly, like Copeland, Chatfield, & Bogle.
==========

First 22 minutes,,, 3 pts, vs freakin' D2 UT-Martin.... :rolleyes:
15/15,,, with a dozen that were dink & dunk junk throws to boost and pad the completion %.
While not seeing guys that were running wide open on middle and deep routes.
25 of 27 for 270 yds, 10 yds/att -- 10.8 yds/comp.
Rushing 5 for 3 ypc, with one 22 yd run. -- 6 for 37, 6.2 ypc. -- (0/1 4th down run, turnover)

IF Dan had really had confidence in Franks, o_O then he wouldn't have still been in the game until the start of the 4th quarter. I noticed that he didn't put Trask or Jones in the game in the 2nd quarter to run with the 1st team.
Instead they got 4th quarter garbage time with the 2 OL and the 3-4 playmkers.

~ Coach, some of us are not quite as dumb or as gullible as you seem to think that all of us are.... :cool:

That was a little weird
Why? He had packages installed last year in the 4 games he could play in. Now with the redshirt season being completed he will be a package player.

Meyer-Mullen did the same with Tebow and Leak. It gives opposing teams one more thing to work on during practice.

it's not a crazy thing...bring in Emory...then Trask...then Emory again. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes but usually the back up comes in and plays series but all good. Both guys did well and got some good looks.

There will be many games where Jones plays a few packages. Trask would be the first off the bench if Franks went down. Emory would still have his packages if such happened. Right now he is a package player. A wildcat QB who is a true QB with a true pass threat.

QB's so far: Jus a little FYI...

Franks - 42 of 54 for 524 yds, 77.8%, 12.5 yds/comp, L-69, 4 TD, 2 Int - QBR 176.33
Rush - 13 for 58 yds, 3.5 ypc, L-22, 1 TD

===== In very limited backup use =====

Trask - 4 of 5 for 40 yds, 80%, 10 yds/comp, L-24, 1 TD, 0 Int - QBR 213.20
No Runs, Yet.

Jones - 1 of 4 for 2 yds, 25% - QBR 29.2
Rush - 4 for 31 yds, 7.8 ypc, L-16, 1 TD

Emory looked good but his passing still looks like a Freshman. If anything happens to Franks, Trask will be the man. He was nearly perfect save for one very stupid throw that literally hit a UTM defender in the bread basket. Or did he have a pick I forget? His passes looked clean and sharp for the most part and he surveys the field very quickly.

Nope, he didn't throw any picks. Wasn't sure. 4 of 5 for 80 yards and a TD with the highest QB rating a Florida QB has had in over a decade. Don't think that counts as he was only in for one and a half series though.
