This reminds me of an exchange I had with a professional colleague recently over a certain brand changing its logo due to pressure from white liberals.

He posted something like "if you don't understand why changing the logo was a big deal, then you have white privilege'.

Me: "I guess I'm dumb cause I don't see what the big deal was with changing it."

Him: "It was because it was offensive to minorities, but white people got upset about it."

Me: Oh now that I understand. White people need to stay out of stuff like this and stop speaking for minorities."

Him: "What? No! The brand did the smart thing and changed the logo, THEN the white people got upset!"

Me: "Gotcha. Yes this is a problem, white liberals make everything worse in these situations when they try to speak for minorities, just to push a political agenda."

Him: "No! You aren't listening! The brand was smart, did this by themselves because they care about the minorities! The white people that WANT THINGS TO STAY THE SAME are the ones that are pissed!"

Me: "But the logo has been around for a century, what changed in 2020 to suddenly get white people upset to bully the brand into changing it?"

Him: "OMG how are you not getting this??? I've explained it like 3 times, the brand did this ON THEIR OWN, then the MAGA white people got pissed cause they want everything to stay the same!"


At this point it was obvious he wasn't listening and it was clear he would never admit that this had started with white liberals bitching about the logo. As always, dems want to project their bad behavior onto republicans.

But the main point stands and it's yours as well I believe: White liberals need to STFU trying to speak for minorities and let them speak for themselves.

Liberals of any race/color are tolerable in a mixed society imo.

It's the socialists (of any race/color). that use fascist tactics in an attempt to destroy America's Constitution that I'd like to not only see STFU, but eat-chit & die. (according to my oath, "(all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC)".

I dread the thought that only another civil war in America can settle the current crisis.

Well said and TBH I was a liberal until around age 25. I'm still relatively liberal on social issues.

What's the saying...a person who wasn't liberal until age 25 has no heart. A person who is still a liberal after age 30 has no brain.

What is truly offensive to me still stands without much resistance. Abortion clinics and satanic monuments are against my every fiber of being but I will not destroy them because I respect the US constitution and enjoy the freedoms it provides me with Christian faith/worship and the ability to raise my children the way my God intended me to raise a child.

My grandma would police her own street but grandma didn't mind calling in the professionals when need be.

She said she didn't want to put them stinking booty's in her own backseat in route to the county pen.
