Please how many of these critics has made a joke about gays, about someone’s lips or posted a sexy picture? Sad let’s review your posts. How can they get someone’s emails when he wasn’t even an employee. Must be because Bruce Allen was. I NEVER have done anything like that but, strange how he resigns the day before Chucky the T.V. show premieres tonight?

The NFL outed Gruden because he insulted the league commissioner. The other emails were just the icing on the cake.

I pretty much don't care - he's talented and will rebuild himself. It is 100% though, selective prosecution of sorts though. I mean - the NFL cares about email from 10 years ago? Give me a break.

Btw - everyone in that league and almost ever person alive as said what Gruden said and way worse. And not just 10 years ago - like yesterday. But he's losing his job? That's pretty scary in all honesty.

I'm sure the NFL is about to fire every player and coach because nobody talks like that and works in the NFL lol.

Gruden is finished. There's no rebuilding from this. As long as Goodell is commissioner, the only place Gruden will be welcome at an NFL game is in the stands. No college president would ever attempt to hire Gruden to coach an FBS school.

This was personal. Goodell released the first email about DeMaurice Smith and waited to see what the Raiders would do. When Gruden didn't immediately resign, then came the emails about Goodell, women, etc.

Are we on the verge of”1984” where everything you write, say and think is scrutinized? I’m not defending Gruden, what he said was wrong but if we read everyone’s email, letters and thoughts then what?

If you want a job or are in a job where you are the one of the "public faces" of a business, organization, team, school, or institution, then you can expect everything you say and do to be used against you in the court of public opinion.
