He says it a lot, but with all the crap he has had to deal with this season (i.e. the Taylor thing, Treon's suspension, the flu, Grier's suspension, injuries to key guys)...sadgator can't help but wonder whether he goes home to mrs. Mac sometimes and says, "Damn Honey, this is more than I bargained for."
Not a coach out there this year that has dealt with more crap than Mac. it makes what he has done on the field even more amazing.

He seems to be handling it very well. I was lukewarm on the guy when we first hired him. Watching the way he is handling all that crap, plus the way he disguises and adjusts for our offensive weaknesses has been fun to watch.

I think we got the guy

I think in the balance, he knows the fun that we, the fans, are now having and that makes it fun for him.

He seems like the kind of regular guy that doesn't let the things he can't control get the best of him. Unlike some tOSU coaches we know.

I think so, it's sort of like if one of us got the UF job. He's called UF his dream job and his actions speak to that. He paid his buyout to come here didn't he? In some ways you can kinda tell the dude is still in awe, his pregame interviews are hilarious. Go look at the one before the UT game when he looks up at the crowd and starts smiling. It's like he was thinking "I can't believe I have this job."

I think the smiling happy guy we see on camera is the candy coating. Inside is a passionate and hard driven guy on a mission to win. He also shows a strong fatherly love for his players. Unlike motherly love fatherly love comes with rules, candor, discipline, measurements and the expectation of performance.

He seems like he's having fun. He's done a good job making us very competitive in spite of several holes.

If you can't turn lemons into lemonade and have fun doing it, then being a big time HBC is not the job for you. o_O

Therefore, as a UF 1st year HBC with a 6-0, 4-1 SEC record, I'd say that his kid from Montana IS HAVING FUN! (and watching, so am I)

It's MUCH easier to have fun when you're winning just about every week. Especially when nobody expected you to win. Ask the guys who aren't winning every week just how fun their seasons are. Butch Doofus at Tennessee. Mark Richt at UGLY. Steve Spurrier had so much "fun" this year he retired. I think coach mac is fine, it'll take at least 4-5 years before our fanbase's high expectations can grind on him enough to warrant faking a heart attack.
