Today was like pulling teeth trying to get my son to school. He is already sick and tired of this Covid crap. They took the lockers away so they won't be so close to each other. Now he has to carry all of his books AND LUNCH with him to every class. They put tape down the middle of the halls so they'd walk in orderly fashion like driving on a highway. They have to wear their stupid, useless masks all day. They are sitting "safe distances" from each other, yet still have to wear masks. After every class they have to sanitize their stations. Who'd want to go to school for that? That'd make anybody pissed off much less a 6th grader. This insanity has to stop soon!

Our school shut down for 2 weeks because 2% of the HS attendance was either positive or in quarantine...yep 2%, 0.5% positive and other 1.5 being in contact with a positive

Ambidextrous and ambipedal granddaughter is a senior at OU. She attends one lab class. All other classes are remote from her apartment. I believe daughter just told me she wrote a check for $20,000 to OU for this semester. Granddaughter doesn't do student loans.

Granddaughter turned down volleyball scholarships to Incarnate Word, Arkansas-Little Rock, UT-Tyler and a couple others because she wanted a big school. She's 5' 7", so OU wasn't interested. Granddaughter started for Waco Midway, who spent most of her senior year ranked USA Today #1 in the land.

OU is the most diverse school of higher learning in the land. Granddaughter is a tri-racial isolate of the Melungeon Group. She follows legions of bi and tri-racials who have walked the halls at OU, including her oldest of 3 brothers.

This is literally screwing up kids. My son waited all summer to go to school. Doesn't have siblings. Couldn't invite kids over - don't want to spread the almighty virus. And then they postponed opening for 2 weeks. Finally, he gets to school. Day one over. Day two over. Day three he is sick of it and wants to stay home. I don't blame him. I'm almost ready to vent my frustration with the school but it won't do any good. Oh, and I can't post to this on the CCorner because Josh will somehow consider it politics and ban me again.

Daughter is at MTSU. Goes once a week for in class and the rest is online.

Son is in private school and has to take mask to school but no one is wearing them except the teachers. Teachers also have face shields. The school worked with state officials on their plan early in summer well before public schools started working on their plans. They opened the first week of August.

School is zoned and students social distanced in classrooms. Sanitizer is as abundant as water. Zones don't mix so if one goes down the rest of the school is isolated and can continue while the affected distance learn during recovery. There is no set number of cases that trip a zone into quarantine. They will play that by ear and quarantine only the sick for now.

Temps are taken before entry into school.
