I would tell them to call me when China, India, Indonesia, etc make HUGE strides and I will listen to their claim..until then....GFY.

People in China have been wearing masks for the pollution for at least 20 years.

India is experiencing industrial growing pains just like we did. They should grow out of it as their industry matures.

No excuse for China they do what they want.

Edit. ZOMG the spell check didn't even try to work.

Precisely. While I see climate change every day, similar to what we are seeing in the Ukraine, I am tired of the onus of the efforts and the attacks of climate shaming disproportionately borne by the U.S.

I read/heard somewhere, that you could put together the emissions from the U.S., Western Europe and Japan and still have less than China or India.

Maybe because they have 10x the population. The US has the highest per capita emissions in the world.

Well that's one way of explaining we having running water, a sanitary sewage system, and some quality of life. "Not apologizing". I suggest you let someone else steal your childhood. Glad Texas has you now. God bless em. 😂

We are not even in the top 15.

Climate change does not care about your pollution per capita. China and India need to manage their exploding populations and pollution.

OK, of the the countries you listed then

. Of course per capita matters. Do you really think China should be below Luxembourg? And how exactly does one “manage“ their population? Death camps? Yes, they need to manage their pollution, ie carbon emissions. No one is arguing that. .

China (with US DEM help) has been trying to help control the world population. They manufactured and released COVID-19. Over 760 million people became infected resulting in almost 7million less population. Not bad for a trial run. Just wait for the new and improved model which will probably generate a much much higher death rate.

THIS is EXACTLY my problem with where the left stands on man made climate change. I have been an outdoors man my whole life....our world is such a beautiful place. But making people suffer in our Country while the offenders do exponentially more damage than we ever could, and attacking US...the cleanest major Country on the planet does not fly with me. And the just plain STUPID stuff like gas stoves, water saving washers, etc are such a joke

And changed an election, which was their intent

I don't think China was the only party at that table. They were involved, but not sure they were a altogether willing participant, being that the dirty bomb exploded in their own backyard. There were plans to use it but not likely in Wuhan. There was some collusion from some globalist actors including some here in the USA.

Hell no....the establishment right here in America was in on this. Remember the FBI's (Peter Strok's statement) they had a back up plan?

I did say with US DEM help. China did close off all travel out of Wuhan though, except for people leaving China to travel all over the world. And China would not think twice about killing their own people if it helps the Government. Look what they do to the Uyghurs.

They have had the "one child, one family" policy from 1980 to 2016.

We see eye to eye on a lot of stuff.

I differ (perhaps) a bit on things like "water saving washers" (i.e. part of environmental conservation is just basic lean six sigma removing waste. I don't want to waste water that I don't need). Other things that remove waste - my wife goes into her office 1x/week because she can use MSFT teams. Saves tons of money on fuel, dry cleaning, etc. - all terrific for the environment. Win-win.

What irks me the most is that most of most vocal (say that five times fast, lol) proponents fly private. Bill Gates claiming that he is "carbon neutral" because he has CO2 scrubbers is not terribly persuasive.

Those are ALL sensible things you listed, for economic reasons plus the commuting item that's actually a better quality of life positive. I think everyone can agree on that. But these kooks that virtue signal austerity on us while doing whatever the hell they want to really do piss me off too.
I wonder if California will wake up and smell the coffee before 2035 or will they be left on the horns of a dilemma when the grid is overpowered and people are stranded everywhere, 😂

DITTO...do as I say...not as I do. The coastal ELITES trying to control OUR lives, yet THEY do not tow the line. As far as the washing machines...the 400 dollar roper washes clothes MUCH better than the agitatorless Maytag. I have to turn the wash load to maximum to get a small load of wash clean. And with water savers for showers/dishes...the water just has to run longer to get the job done, so I HATE stupid regulations that do nothing but make my mission harder
