Greenard could be the most important add to the Gators in 2019. He has played two highly productive years and sat out last year due to a less than major injury. He comes in as the equivalent of a redshirt junior or true senior. The option to play another year is possible if he can get redshirt credit for last years injury. He could be ready to be a big contributor on day one of next season. A pleasant thought going into the offseasonk.

==========

2 years of eligibility left

DE/OLB Jonathan Greenard 6-4 263 - rsSr Grad-xfer - Hiram, Ga.
2017 15.5 TFL, 7 sacks for Louisville. -- 2018 injured out (wrist) vs UA in opener.
With his transfer to Florida, he will have one year of eligibility remaining, though he could potentially secure one more if granted an additional year as a result of his season-ending injury in 2018.

Dan's 2018 record: 10-3, 5-3 SEC - Peach Bowl #10 UF 41 - 15 Mich #7.

2019 Returning starters: 5 offense, 7 defense, 2 special teams

Mullen's (4-7) 10 victories were one more (9) than what Meyer (7-5) and Steve Spurrier (7-5) won in their first seasons at Florida. :eek:

And he can't recruit either... :rolleyes:

Thanks Insta - yes currently Greenard has 1 year of eligibility left - most are saying he's likely to get a redshirt but that's still to be determined.

Welcome gbo.
Yep, and I'm hopeful that he'll get it and then stay for his 2nd year, but we'll see.

I'm just happy to have him for the 2019 cake, if we get the 2020 icing, then that will be really sweet! :)

PS
We got the icing on the cake with Shuler for a 2nd year, so it's possible.
