Did we just land a kicker ????

Would be an awesome get. Probably the most important position behind QB or oline this class. How often can you say that about a kicker?

They just showed him on ESPN and talked about us landing him.

This guy is gonna end up breaking a college record before the half in the future when we just decide to throw him out there

Injuries did our 2015 kickers in.... :(

Rated the No. 1 kicking prospect in the nation coming out of HS by ESPN.

2015 playing despite a nagging hip-flexor injury and struggling with accuracy/consistency.

K Neil MacInnes 6-4 219 Sr - An Oct. 2015 'tryout' W-O
Lettered in soccer - track and field - football at Tampa's Chamberlain HS.
Made FG's of 48 & 43 yards in the 2011 Hillsborough Co. All-Star Game.
~ Continuing to develop this big-strong healthy guy would seem to be a good idea to me.

Bringing in 1-2 more kickers wouldn't hurt either, especially if they are walk-ons.

ALERT - Kicker Thread. (although I did enjoy seeing those one in a hundred shots).

Can that guy also kick, or were you just wasting our time? -- :D

Kicking is a little bit different than worrying about some WR that can catch everything but has never played the sport or something. He's still going to be taking his two steps and launching kicks through the uprights, his leg is so strong he won't have to worry much about the rush getting to him or getting it elevated. He's an NFL kicker, has all the same criteria.

Sebastian Janikowski didn't even know what the hell a football was until his junior or senior year at Seabreeze High School. He was a soccer player from Poland and that's all he knew until he came to the states.

He's played for more Head Coaches than any NFL player in history I believe, that's how long Janikowski has been kicking in the NFL... and the Raiders failures of course have something to do with that.
