Florida players and interim coach Greg Knox shared their first impressions of new coach Billy Napier; he may have convinced at least one star to stay.

Yeah - until folks actually transfer to another school they are still on roster. With a new coach, I'm sure a lot of players are getting out in front of the situation in case the new coach can't use them in the new system. I expect some of these guys to stay.

I have been wondering about Elam. Thought it was odd he is playing tomorrow. If these two come back that would help a ton next year.

And if Billy wants Diabate, I would assume he stays.

Elam staying would be huge. The only reason he stays is to get coached by Raymond. I’m surprised he’s playing in the bow game. We will see.

I would have laughed at the idea of Elam staying but the fact he is playing in the bowl game, who knows?

Though he has a mid-low 1st round grade, his grade has since the beginning of the season.

now most still go on that projection but maybe he wants to be higher.

I still imagine he goes, but the fact he is playing tonight does at least make you wonder

He had a pretty lackluster year. It would make sense to me that with this new defensive staff he would see the opportunity to get a much bigger pay day.

I agree 100%. And it sounds like he was impressed. I would gladly take him back, but also wouldn’t blame him if he went.

Although if Billy pulls these two back it will be very impressive
