In part, I'm sure it's because 19 people were killed. Also, Trump has made sure that immigration and our southern border is issue number one, for the most part to his advantage. If it is true that this psycho is a Trump supporter and that the shootings were motivated by anti-immigrant hate, then of course this will become part of that story.
I can't speak for any of the other Trump supporters but I am not defending this scumbag. If the media is willing to give this National coverage, how about the other shootings at other Walmart stores where people also lost their lives. I didn't know the media needed more than one death at a Walmart store to give it any attention. Sad.
By the same token, you never brought up the shootings at the other Wal Marts until you needed something to normalize today's shooting. If it is true that this guy wrote a manifesto, supporting Trump and railing against immigrants, then of course it's going to be a bigger story. Trump has made sure immigration, and forceable deportation, is issue number one. Yes or no?
Even if I brought it up yesterday, last week, last month, or last year, it would've been ignored just like the ongoing black on black crimes in Chicago, Baltimore, NYC, Los Angeles, etc. And it's just not the black on black crimes being ignored. For some reason, the shooting in El Paso was far more important to cover than the murders in Chicago and anywhere else. I get depressed just reading stories of murders in Jacksonville, where I now live outside of.
To answer your question, I'd have to say it's one of the top issues.

Ok, so it's Monday. Ghost, please post any of the spectacular revelations that have come out of "Declas" that so threatened the liberal/deepstate agenda that their agent, the media, apparently (arranged for?/made up?) a pair of mass shootings to distract us.
left is telling us today that we can't talk about DECLAS or really anything else other than these two important conversations:
1 - How this is all the fault of Donald Trump and Dana Loesch
2 - How we only have 12 years left to save the planet, and we can only do that by taking everyone's guns
According to the left, these are the important, and not at all political conversations that we need to have in light of the two national tragedies.
