Despite the fact that y’all hosted him unofficially multiple times, despite the fact that Kirby was leading his recruitment and visited him multiple times up to signing day, and despite the fact that y’all hired UF’s DB coach the weekend of his official visit and attempted to pull a ‘power move’ by having Warren there waiting when Elam showed up. McLame lost Gray to the Redskins. As soon as the job opened, Dan hired Gray away from the Redskins and back to UF / DB-U.

Gray has developed a number of NFL DB's at the collegiate level, including former Gators Teez Tabor, Marcus Maye, Quincy Wilson and Duke Dawson. Prior to his time at UF, Gray developed Brandon Flowers, Kam Chancellor, Kyle Fuller and Kendall Fuller at VaTech.
~ In addition, Gray has familiarity with UF’s defense as he played for Todd Grantham for 4 seasons when he was a student-athlete at VaTech.

Also, UF getting Gray back is a large part of the reason that Elam committed to UF instead of to Warren/UGly. -- So thanks for that 4th&Dumb move...
