Summers is a good OL coach imo, and a decent human being to go with it. I'd miss him some if he goes elsewhere.
However, he is an older guy, so if they replaced him with an equal quality younger guy, I'd be fine with that too...
Whatever, I wish him well in his future, and I thank him for the job that he's done for UF so far.

Summers is the one coach I think takes a lot of unwarranted heat. Our OL held up pretty well and our plethora of young 3* OL seemed to perform really well.
That said, other than 5* Ivey, EVERY other returning OL is a 3* and that is concerning at UF
Oline is where stars mean the least. You can build a cohesive unit without 5 star parts.
Good student/athletes mean he most, stars are just someone else's opinion. And the Gator coaches picks have looked damn good to me so far.
LT/LG Martez Ivey 6-5 305 So *****
RT/RG Fred Johnson 6-6 311 So *** - played like a 4 star.
OC/OG T.J. McCoy 6-1 308 rsFr *** - played like a 4 star imo.
RT Jawaan Taylor 6-5 340 Fr *** - played like a 4-5 star.
#4 OC Brett Heggie 6-3 317 Fr **** (redshirted)
And 5 more young 3 stars that have yet to get their chance to prove themselves.
-----
OT Kadeem Telfort 6-7 300 **** - Miami
OT T.J. Moore 6-6 280 **** - Charlotte, NC
Considering the hole that they have been digging out of, not to bad imo.![]()
We have done well at this position inder Mac and it sounds like we may make an OL haul in this class
Linemen aren't sexy recruiting stories, but it's funny how much better a RB is with holes to run through, and how great a QB can be with time to throw.
