CNN and the current administration’s Energy Secretary runs with this:

And the truth comes out:

When you have to push something this hard maybe it’s not quite what you’re making it out to be.

LSAO…sadgator’s one of the biggest supporters of attempting to mitigate the effects of climate change that you will find…and even he thinks that video clip is ridiculous…

That being said…coastal development is becoming more dangerous…the pattern of devastating storms is more established with each passing year…there will be another one this year….throw a dart a map on the gulf or east coast and one community will be wiped of the map by the end of October…it’s coming…

but that ain’t why that building fell…

Anyone that has spent anytime in South Florida knows the corruption down there is off the charts. Building permits, inspections, etc. is all tied into the financial corruption down there. It’s an epidemic down there. There’s a reason there is such a long wait on banks clearing finances over a certain dollar amount down there than in central and north Florida. And that’s all local politics. Hopefully this wakes people up to start paying more attention to their local community reps they elect… but it won’t.

What does he know that we don't?

edit: There's also the science behind the increase (or lack thereof) of major storms hitting land. But we don't need pesky science getting in the way of an economic takeover, do we?

Abstract

Continental United States (CONUS) hurricane-related inflation-adjusted damage has increased significantly since 1900. However, since 1900 neither observed CONUS landfalling hurricane frequency nor intensity shows significant trends, including the devastating 2017 season.

Two large-scale climate modes that have been noted in prior research to significantly impact CONUS landfalling hurricane activity are El Niño–Southern Oscillation on interannual time scales and the Atlantic multidecadal oscillation on multidecadal time scales. La Niña seasons tend to be characterized by more CONUS hurricane landfalls than El Niño seasons, and positive Atlantic multidecadal oscillation phases tend to have more CONUS hurricane landfalls than negative phases.

Growth in coastal population and regional wealth are the overwhelming drivers of observed increases in hurricane-related damage. As the population and wealth of the United States has increased in coastal locations, it has invariably led to the growth in exposure and vulnerability of coastal property along the U.S. Gulf and East Coasts. Unfortunately, the risks associated with more people and vulnerable exposure came to fruition in Texas and Florida during the 2017 season following the landfalls of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Total economic damage from those two storms exceeded $125 billion. Growth in coastal population and exposure is likely to continue in the future, and when hurricane landfalls do occur, this will likely lead to greater damage costs than previously seen. Such a statement is made recognizing that the vast scope of damage from hurricanes often highlights the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of building codes, flood maps, infrastructure, and insurance in at-risk communities.

I've said this many times before, but those of you on the left, lose a LOT of potential allies on the right when it comes to the environment, by pushing your man-made climate change nonsense.

If you guys REALLY cared about the environment, you would nix the dramatics, use facts and science and stop with the insane fear-mongering. A lot of us on the right and even moderates would love to get behind more environmental issues, but we can't because it all gets lumped together in the left's 'man-made climate change' nonsense, so we ignore it all.

Plastic and garbage being dumped in rivers and oceans is a perfect example. Most people on the right are totally on board with working to clean our waterways, but we know that if we push for it, the left will just claim it is somehow due to 'climate change' and they will push for massive taxes and regulations that do nothing to address the issue, and is only to line their pockets and those of the companies giving them kickbacks.

If you guys would stop the fear-mongering, gaslighting and outright lying when it comes to the environment and the climate, you would see that those of us on the right would be happy to work with you to actually solve the actual problems facing the environment.

I’m not even talking about the hurricanes, strictly the lies.

His handlers are trying to package a lie with a tragedy and people eat it up, it’s amazing.
“Oh.. well all these survivors just kept bringing it up..” what a crock of shit. His energy secretary pushes this nonsense, there’s a ridiculous amount of documented complaints about this specific building, and these scumbags want to exploit this tragedy for their green new Marxism. Seriously F them.

Not one of the warmist clowns here can show us proof of rising sea levels.
According to the warmists, man-made climate change is resulting in record high temps in July and August of every year, and hurricanes during those same months.

Apparently we never had either, until the left invented climate change.

No it’s way dumber. It’s as dumb as it is sinister to take advantage of something like this in order to push an agenda that has nothing to do with this tragedy. But you’re a good lackey to swoop in and defend this idiocy. Your bonus check is in the mail.

But that's not what happened. Goodness you lie about everything.

Dems have told us for years that right NOW are the hottest years in the history of the planet.

A planet, that they tell is, is over 4 BILLION years old.

At the same time that we are supposedly having the 5 hottest years in the 4 BILLION year history of the planet. RECORD COLD temperatures are being recorded.

All across the globe. All throughout the year.

Common sense tells us that can't be happening if the planet is truly on fire as you dems claim.

Don't get mad at us because we can easily see through your bullshit.

As a structural engineer who works in this area, i can tell you that this has always been a problem. A big issue with these condos is that they were built in the 70s and 80s. Codes and building (structure suggestions) have changed over time and these buildings need to be reinforced or torn down. There are at least 5 that i have personally inspected that needed repairs asap. Its not climate change tho lol i laughed hard at that, those buildings are built to withstand heat up to 170 degrees ish. They were built on the coast to withstand winds near 200 (if they are up to code). The problem with something like this (mass/critical failure in the integrity of the building) suggests a mistake in the original building or an oversight on the inspections(most likely). The fact that only piece fell tells me that part of the building was probably sinking which would have caused cracks (very easy to see) and this would be on a lower level (usually in the lobby/1st floor or garage if it had one (looks like it does). These are not small cracks either and they would have been visible for at least 5 yrs. This doesnt happen overnight either. This should NEVER happen, its to easy to keep a building standing upright.

Edit: So after posting this i went and watched the building fall, the fact that the front facade fell first, you can see it collapse and then you see the back fall and then the side fall has me thinking.... So i looked up the construction plans and there is basically a new option. The front facade was held up by 3 beams, basically, all three of those beams would have to collapse in order for that front facade to fall the way it did, everything else is a result of that initial piece falling (the back and side would not have fallen if the front didnt fall first so it had to be those 3 beams specifically). Im not so sure a sinkhole didnt cause this and i wouldnt rule it out. Also, those beams were at the bottom of the ramp and there was reports of flooding in the garage back in the 90s. I believe the building was steel rebar, sea water/salt and rebar mixing is a no no. It rusts the rebar causing it to expand which breaks the concrete and obviously that is not good. Everytime something like this happens i say i wont let it hook me and everytime it happens because of a post on here. One thing that can definitely be ruled out is climate change or an explosion in the lobby. Both of those are stupid. I also see people saying salt/sea water doesnt effect buildings with concrete and rebar because bridges use concrete and rebar and they are submerged in it. While yes its true that the bridges have that its much different, not all concrete/rebar is the same. Density and thickness matters and its way easier to do that for the bridge than a hotel/condo.

I've posted a chart before on another forum, but I'm not looking it up because fake news google does their best to hide it..... But the intensity and frequency of tropical storms is gasp...........just approaching the early 1900's level. You know, prior to the introduction and implementation of the internal combustion engine. Must have been all of those horses farting?😂

The 5 hottest years on record comes from concrete jungles with large populations. The Warmists make no mention. Satellite data says different.

NOAA has been repeatedly caught fudging data using "extrapolation" of their weather data buoys as well.

Data manipulation a recurring theme for NOAA

I didn’t ”defend“ anything. I said they were both dumb.

Guys, this is true leadership. Joe is going to “get to work” and save the cherries.

Cold snap in April kills some cherries in Meatchicken? Climate change.
Building falls down? Climate change.
Too many hurricanes? Climate change.
Too few hurricanes? Climate change.

It’s the best crisis ever because no matter what happens they can use it as an excuse to take over the economy and your lives.

I’m on my first vacation since covid (in Maine) and we just set a record for the coldest 3rd of July ever. Climate change.

It appears NOAA has stopped posting data that continues to dismantle the popular narrative. I found it on duckduckgo. 😂

This chart ends in 2010.:p

Climate change caused the chinese to create covid. Climate change is donald trumps fault due to his extreme racism.
