It means you have to bet $186 to win $100 if you take the Gators straight up to win. A $100 bet on Charleston Southern would pay $222. If you bet the spread (which seems low to me at -5.5) you have to bet $109 to win $100. The extra $9 is just the vig you pay the bookie.
