Both teams are pretty similar. Iowa's offense is almost as bad as the one Coach Mac designed and coaches, and both rely on the strength of their defense and being lucky enough to be in the weakest division of their conference. Iowa has the 25th defense while Coach Mac inherited the 4th, so he has a bigger margin of error to cover poor coaching, but they are similar. Iowa won against two ranked teams this year, including beating what looked like an impossible Harbough coached team, while Coach Mac did get a miracle win over a better LSU. Perhaps Coach Mac can pull off an Iowa and beat Bama?
