This from a fan of the team that had 31 arrests in 4 years involving 25 players with Urbie's bunch??
Not a single one of the players Jones has brought in has been in ANY kind of trouble save for 3 incidents of underage drinking by 3 freshmen. In each case, the individuals had to face the team captains who handed out an internal punishment that involved humiliating them in front of other students as well as being made to perform Community Service.
No one has caused any more problems since.
ALL of the incidents that are a part of that lawsuit involve players recruited by Dooley and Kiffen and all but 1 incident occurred BEFORE Jones was even hired. One involved a damned African Basketball player who WAS Guilty. But he feared deportation so he got the hell out of town. Got no idea where he went.
The ONE incident involving 2 DOOLEY recruits in November 2014 IS the most current one. They are on trial. They were suspended IMMEDIATELY upon notice by the KPD that they were named as suspects in a rape. Even before formal charges were filed. Trial is suspended as an Appellate Court ruled that the 2 males are entitled to the a transcript of the conversations of the woman involved and another (named as a witness for the defense in that law$uit. They talked before and after the woman went into the apartment of the two males at 2am and departed at 5am.) But it seems that both accidentally dropped their phones into a toilet and then threw them into the trash. Apple has the info but won't release it without permission from the two women and they refuse. (same thing that they told the FBI regarding the phone of the female moslem terrorist in San Bernadino. Privacy rules.)The women have appealed the Appellate ruling to a HIGHER Court.
So for now, the whole thing is at a standstill and Johnson has lost MILLIONS regardless of guilt or innocence as he was a !st round draft pick at MLB and the trial has been going on for 16 months.
But gloat on. That 19 rapes CAMPUS Wide in 2001, 2012, 2013 involved in the lawsuit + the one involving Williams and Johnson in 2014.( Compared to 40 Campus wide at F-U during the same time frame) Only 4 involve the football program. 1 the basketball program. All those involving the football program took place PRIOR to Jones' hire save 1 and NONE of the prior ones had formal charges filed with the police. The women said they were intimidated into silence after being by the Athletic Department and Coaches. The individuals named are all long gone from the campus.
Hamilton, the A/D and Dooley and his staff all fired.
