We gotta have more than rumors...

I heard this kid wasn't living up to his recruiting hype at Georgia anyway. Kirby is win at all cost in my opinion. I don't think Kirby would have gotten rid of him if he was great. Guess we will see

Rumors are he may have got his waiver and will be eligible for LSU game.
That would be nice...we need depth and talent. We'll see what kind of player/guy he is soon. I'm not saying the kid is wrong but if he did make some mistakes...he very well grow from them. I certainly did.

I'll see how it plays out, rather take it from the Leg Humper's fan base.

Puh-lease, as a true freshman last year at Uga he got to wear #1 and played meaningful snaps throughout the season. He was counted on. Idk about other programs but usually #1 uni doesnt just go to anybody, especially a true freshman. Hell, at UF, before this season we went years since we let someone wear #1......Cox won't be wearing it now since we already have one on defense and one on offense wearing #1, both "earned it".

Yeah Natrez Patrick set a world record for drug use, yet Kirby kept him because he was a productive player.

Brenton Cox...not so much

Kirby has started back loading payments because of this. Less upfront money and leased Chargers instead of just buying them.
It beats giving them season tickets to Tennessee football games.

.. . which is what I suspect what they do at Tennessee....

Your theory that Cox was begging to stay but Kirby booted him doesn't hold water.

9-25-19 Update on Cox, and other items on the current 'state of the Gators'

Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators have been waiting to receive an update on whether or not 5-star transfer Brenton Cox will be able to play in 2019. The Gators are going to have to remain patient. On Wednesday’s SEC media teleconference, Mullen said he is still waiting to hear back from the NCAA on a ruling. Cox, a sophomore defensive end, is attempting to obtain a waiver that will allow him to play immediately after transferring to Florida from Georgia. See the article for the rest of Dan's comments.

DEs are typically going to stand out in a Grantham defense with that way he likes to get after the QB. Last year it was Polite and Zuniga. This year is it Zuniga and Greenard and Moon. Next year it will be somebody else. Likely Bogle is a name you will start hearing next year.

Their best player is a Lville transfer, so Cox probably will be good enough.

Yep, a UL Grad-xfer that Grantham recruited to UL...
And the 'best' players have not played much yet due to injury.
That would probably be All SEC CB Henderson and All SEC SDE Zuniga.
But BUCK (WDE/LB) All ACC Greenard is certainly in the Top 3.

1. Greenard isn't our best player, the best player is out.
2. Greenard isn't our best end, the best end is out.
3. Cox played tons for you a year ago as a true freshman at a position freshmen rarely play, so your staff thinks he's good too.
4. Salty isn't a good look on you.
