Bama scored 31 against us which was their lowest since 2018 when they scored 29 twice in victories. They did score 31 against Notre Damw last year but, that was the ONLY game that they were that low. But, with over 400 yards. So, are they down this year? Yes but, still pretty good. Is our Defense better than we showed in weeks 1 and 2? Yeah but, the crowd and opponent sure did motivate us. So how good are we? Bama?

I guess we’ll see this week and the rest of the year.

And look at Bama’s yards against us, 331. Look at how many games they were that low in the past few years.

And now U.T. and what Gator D will we see? I’m sure we’ll be less motivated and give up a few more yards. But, I still see us being close at Half but, pulling away for a 17 point win A 19 - 20 pt. spread is hard to bet.

My 2 words I keep saying is, A KICKER!!! We probably missed O.T. due to a KICKER? Now I gotta see how many out last kicker missed in his career? The answer is 1, Evan McPherson was 149/150. Maybe that was Chris Howard’s ONLY miss? But, not at a very good time don’t you think?

Not sure how much I would take out of that game for the rest of the season but I thought going in Bama's offense wasn't as talented as last years (especially on the O line) but didn't expect their defense to get handled like that in the 2nd half.

That QB was rattled by that noise finally along with some O linemen. I guess we will see what they score in their other SEC games.

As far as our defense I would be nervous with this hurry up scheme if Tennessee wasn't so depleted players wise and had someone better than Milton at QB who misses wide open receivers all the time. On paper at least they don't match up and they lack decent depth most places.

I can understand an occasional 30+ FG miss, or any miss in bad weather.
I can understand an X-Pt miss when it's a bad snap/hold or it get's blocked.

But when everything else is good, missing a point-blank X-Pt is just about inexcusable to me....
A lack of focus on the kickers part, when that's his only job (kicking), is a cause for benching imo.
(benching, or at least 40 lashes across a bare eyeball with a wet noodle)
=====

47. K Jace Christmann 6-1 200 Grad-Sr
~~ @ MsSt - X-Pts 127-128 (99.2%) -- FG 32/40 (80%) L-51 yds

2021 - 2/2 on X-Pts (100%) - 9 KO's for 543 Yds, 60.3 Yds/KO
=====

71. K Chris Howard 6-1 212 rsSr
~~ 2019-20 UF Backup -- 11/11 X-Pts, 2/2 FG's, L-32 -- 53.75 Yds/KO

2021 10/11 on X-Pts (90.9%) -- FG 1/1 for 25 Yds (100%)
4 KO's for 254 Yds, 63.5 Yds/KO

Maybe they should switch their 2021 kicking rolls:
Howard to do future KO's
Christman to do X-Pts & FG's

Bamas points meant they were more than UF's, for the past 8 meetings between the two.

This team has got to learn how to come out of the blocks faster,,, on both sides of the ball.
The entire Special Teams still need to improve weekly.

Cover those two critical points and I'd not worry about the legghumpers....
