ARich recommits!

#9 QB-dt Anthony Richardson 6-4 230 4.64/40 *** 5.7 - Gainesville, FL
Offers: UGly, Mich, PSU, UCF, UL, USF, VaTech-- He's an Elite 11 Finalist
P -
86 of 177 for 1,567 yds, 18.2 yds/comp, 17 TD, 6 Int
R - 95 for 924 yds, 9.7 ypc, 16 TD's, 1 LPF -- (33 TD's, 7 TO's)

UF should always get at least 1 QB that is a high 3-star-super athlete that's a perfect fit for the system, or a high 4-5 star - every cycle. I really trust Mullen on the QB front year in/out.

Great pickup! He has a higher ceiling than Emory Jones and Jalon Jones. He’s a better athlete than both of them and has size.

I've been high on this kid every since he committed the 1st time.
He can get the ball out quick and he doesn't throw many (6) Ints.
He can also play WR (10.5 hands) and he doesn't put the ball on the ground.
See for yourselves:

Was 6’3, 230 and ran a 4.5 at a recent combine. Had one of the highest sparq scores of any position there. Only question is his passing but he shouldn’t have to see the field for 2-3 years.
This. He’s raw but who best to develop him than Mullen. Again his ceiling his higher than either of the Jones kids.

Ceiling guesses and favorites are always allowed by the fans, especially during'talking season.'

While these are only the 3 QB's HS Highlites, they all look capable enough to me. Also, there is a reason that Dan offered all three of them a ship to UF.
We will just have to see how they each develop as QB's at the next level in Dan's offense, but I'm not willing to write any of them off this early in their development. Also, any one of them might switch to another position along the way as they are all excellent athletes with multiple abilities.

QB Emory Jones Highlights

It was only against Idaho, but Emory looked pretty good in that game.

QB Jalen Jones Highlights

Something I like about recruiting DT fast athletic QB's is that if it doesn't work out at the QB position or they are buried on the depth chart, these guys are athletic enough to move to another position to get PT until they are ready to play QB or they can make a career move. Similar to Meyer getting Trey Burton and Jordan Reed. Cornelius Ingram and Gavin Dickey before them under previous staffs. Bubba Caldwell to a lesser extent (yes I understand everyone projected Bubba as a WR) all of those listed made a NFL roster with the exception of Dickey who played MiLB.

Reed CI and Burton were some of the best skill position athletes we’ve had.

If nothing else, I’ll remember burton breaking off that 80 yard run to take the lead at knoxville in 2012 and how you could hear a pin drop right after that!
Doesn't Burton have the most TD's game in Gator history (non-QB)? He had that 6 TD game, right?

And just wait until they get a load of the Gator TE's for 2019:

14. TE Lucas Krull rsJr 6-6 255 **** (2017 JuCo xfer)
88. TE Kemore Gamble rsSo 6-3 246 ****
81. TE Dante Lange rsFr 6-5 253 ****
#1 TE-H Keon Zipperer Fr 6-3 240 **** UA-AA - (summer arrival)
Plus
84. WR/TE Kyle Pitts So 6-6 246 ****

If he can learn the offense and make the reads, we will be crazy good with him.

He also had a TD run vs UGA in 2010 51 yarder. Meyer's last game vs UGA. He was the leading rusher with 110 yards and 2 TD's. 2-2 passing for 26 yards and 5 receptions for 35 yards.

Ended career with 726 rushing yards, 976 reception yards, and 103 passing yards. 3 years of it was in Muschamps inept offense. A player this type would have been explosive in Mullen's offense.

I remember (Well, I THINK I remember) Tyler Murphy being one of the last recruits of the Meyer era. I was excited to see what they could make of him, big strong fast kid. Then they left and the morons started trooping in. Preaching to the choir I know, but watching the past two staffs regress QB's rather than develop them was so disheartening. But not quite as disheartening as watching them go to other programs and become QB's good enough to play NFL ball.

Thank God those days are over. They urined away so much QB talent.

Was he not a part of Meyers disgusting final year?

Burton and Reed on first down, then force Brantley into 3rd and 12 pretty much every drive?

Addazio was one of our worst OC's ever. I might have said worst, but I was a student when we had Lynn Amadee.

I firmly believe if we had Mullen in 09 we would have repeated, and with both him and Newton in 10 we would have threatened a threepeat.

100 on all points. Addazio was hot garbage.

Except that we were never going to have Newton in 2010.

He was going to be kicked out of school because he's a moron that doesn't "get it."

And that hasn't changed since he got to the NFL.

Sucks to have standards. Auburn fans are so lucky.
