Are you guys prepared for the fact that Mcelwain is going to take this group into Baton Rouge

....F the sheep flying over the fence in my dream, I keep seeing Bullard laying out Fournette! Hell Yes

Their offense is gonna be getting smashed at the LOS and in 3rd and 8's all night... and you know Les will be stubborn with the running game and when we get up they are forced to throw and then the picks and sacks come.

The way our defense struggled with Tennessee's run, I think this is a tough matchup. We've shut down the spread run teams, but LSU's power run game with Fournette is a different animal.

Tennessee's running game which was contained in the second half I might add...

Other than Fournette who does LSU have? Contain him in every possible way, force LSU to throw, UF wins...

Its going to be a tough game imo. We will slow their run down some but I doubt we can just shut it down real good. I think that QB of theirs will make mistakes if he has to carry some of the load however.

and win next Saturday night?

Because I am

Is Anzalone going to be back? We run a lot of nickle because of lack of LB depth, get that big dude back in the middle and we can run a normal defense with some real run stopping ability. I see him as a key to the game, if we have him.

Who would be the 3 starting LBs right now if we run that a lot against LSU? I haven't really been paying attention to who the 3rd one would be with Anzalone out.

Daniel McMillan has been the 3rd LBer on the field. LSU is loaded at WR. They haven't passed the ball yet and we aren't quite sure if they can. Hopefully we find out this weekend and hopefully they can't throw the ball but they have some very good WRs.

You know I said after the TN or UK game I felt this UF team resembled the 2006 team minus Harvin. So I'm going to say UF 23 - LSU 10...the same score of 2006 game...JMHO..

I think that we stop the run but to win the close one our kicker is going to have to do their part. I'm calling the Gators victorious in a close one. Go Gators!

Let's hope Collins can scheme up a rush defense like he did in last year's MSU @ LSU game:

Rushing
LSU
ATT YDS TD AVG
Leonard Fournette 7 38 0 5.4
Kenny Hilliard 9 30 1 3.3
Brandon Harris 2 19 0 9.5
Anthony Jennings 11 6 0 0.5
Darrel Williams 2 4 0 2.0
Travin Dural 1 -5 0 -5.0
Terrence Magee 2 4 0 2.0
Team 2 -7 0 -3.5
Total 36 89 1 2.5

And NOT like he did v. LSU in 2013:
LSU ATT YDS TD AVG
Terrence Magee 6 18 0 3.0
Alfred Blue 6 31 1 5.2
Kenny Hilliard 6 39 3 6.5
Connor Neighbors 1 -1 0 -1.0
Zach Mettenberger 3 -21 0 -7.0
Jeremy Hill 16 157 2 9.8
J.C. Copeland 1 0 0 0.0
Total 39 223 6 5.7

The concern I have is we only have 2 LBers. This is a game where we could really use another backer like Anzalone. I expect Maye up in the box quite a bit.

Where is Anzalone? I thought he was going to be back because his injury wasn't that bad? Didn't they say he chicken-winged? I didn't know this was that bad of an injury but I guess it is.

If the offense goes into a funk for 3 quarters like they did at Mizzou, that could spell doom as it will ultimately wear out the defense. Fortunately, we go 10 deep on the DL, so that will help.

No disrespect to Mizzou's defense, because they are legit but after the pick 6 I think our staff sandbagged the offense a little bit. I know it sounds crazy but looking at the game, they knew Missouri couldn't score on our defense.

If Syracuse with a walk on backup QB can score 24 points against LSU and make it a game in the 4th then UF shouldn't have much trouble scoring.

Unless Fournette goes crazy and gets 300+ yards I think UF takes it.

Could be wrong but I get the sense this LSU team is a tad overrated.

Of course they are. According to FSU fans, every team Florida has on its schedule is overrated.
I didn't say they were terrible. I just don't think they are a top 5 team. They still have QB issues and their defense doesn't look solid. Eastern Michigan and Syracuse both scored over 20 on them.

Just saying I expect UF to win.
