Look let’s face it. We have a small circle jerk on here who still read Gateway Pundit for heaven’s sakes.
You can’t smarten these folks up. They’re going to cling to a certain belief and they’re afraid of acknowledging facts that diverge from their “reality “.
GDP is up primarily due to record federal injections via increased national debt. Half the job expansion is certified as government growth and service jobs funded by the US Gov’t. Source: Wall Street Journal today, news section. Both Dems and Republicans are voting to spend more and more.
GDP is actually doing fairly well right now.
This estimate seems a little bullish though.
But GDP isn't the only measure of the economy, and Gov't growth is fueling a good portion of it.
I still read GP almost every day. I don't read their articles, but I'll go to the source they cite. The content they bring is sometimes pretty interesting.
And the source here isn't X @GatorTheo - it's the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

We've not had a fiscally responsible Legislative or Executive branch in 25 years.

He had a lot of help from Newt Gingrich and Dick Armey in the House leadership. Those guys actually walked the walk with regard to fiscal responsibility.
IMO 9/11 was the turning point. Since then both parties have done nothing but spend spend spend.
