Let's just say that sadgator will shiver a little bit every time he hears the word "Kemosabe" for the rest of his life.
It's an interesting idea - show up for your game in disguise, so maybe your fans won't recognize you & won't realize it's your team that is sucking. Jimbo definitely should consider it, too (though I hope he comes up with something different than the costumes from sad's private collection).
So we may get our butts kicked all over the field dressed as Ninja Turtles.
It doesn't matter what they wear, A&M will probably dispatch our group pretty easily. It may get uglier than the unis. Hey the players and recruits like em, so maybe they'll play inspired. Jeez it sucks not having a plan and relying on hope.
Injuries suspensions lack of tempo. I want to scream.
After looking at those Unis a little bit, I don't think they're that bad. If the kids and recruits like them, then more power to them. My only gripe is they don't use Orange and Blue at all.
They do integrate some orange and blue.
It is so strange; sadgator feels like a gigantic asshole for thinking these are cool. How can sadgator be the only one who digs that print?!?!?! They are freakin' alligator uniforms!

They're pretty cool aren't they? Putting something over your shoulderpads, that's what I call the jersey piece. I know fans think the colors look like diarrea, and yet going out looking like diarrea, that's another chance for these players to grow. When I think of these players running out there in the Swamp, draped in diarrea-stained faux lizard skin, I just... (trails off and stares glassy eyed into the distance).

Those uniforms are perfect. They fit this offense to a T. A real shitshow.
Something else. Black helmets? Really? WTF? Besides that not being any school color, it's going to probably be 100 degrees on the field Saturday.

When I think of all that. I think Bama with a regular looking crimson jersey, and a regular looking number on their helmet. Basically the same USC minus the number. Penn State I think of the regular ass looking uniforms but more times than not they've won. When I think of Oklahoma I think of a simple OU on the side of the helmet with normal looking jerseys. When I think of Ohio State, I think of a silver helmet with some acorn decals on the back for making a good play, along with regular looking jerseys. Even when Miami was kicking ass in the 80's and 90's they did it with a simple jersey and a U on the side of a white helmet.
Now we've became some lame asses like Oregon and Maryland.
sadgator supposes he is just a lone voice in the wind on this one. We have one of, if not, the coolest and most unique mascot in the nation. There are no other Gators! We are one of the very few school that could pull off an animal print jersey that represents it's mascot. And have it work.
Look, sadgator appreciates tradition as much as anybody. The fact that they destroyed Florida Field's identity by removing the F haunts sadgator every single day. He loves the '06 throwbacks and the traditional combos.
But life is short, man. You gotta live it and make it fun. It's not like we're changing the uniforms forever. It is a one game event. Having a "green" (not black) alligator print combo to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Swamp naming is pretty damn awesome.
It'll suck if they lose in them, but hey, if it gets them fired up and motivated and makes the team feel energized, then so be it. Things are getting too Debbie Downer around our team...our kids deserve to have some fun...and so do we.
And do you think some young recruit wants to go to some fuddy duddy stale place, or a hip place with awesome tradition AND the willingness to make things fresh and different now and again?

They might not look bad under the lights, but unless they have magical powers for the performance in the game, those are the least of my worries.. This game is basically a due or die championship game for our staff and the rest of the season to go into the bye week positive to build up the UGA game and put pressure on them to break our streak.. Especially after getting another pat on the back for killing missouri.. They really have just taken advantage of some really bad defenses, Auburn has been better than them against better teams, and rocked the same teams they played worse.. Auburn has a better QB, offense with the run game opening up Stidham to throw bomb strikes... and it's argauble to say Auburns defense is as good as UGA's or better.. They flat out stuffed Clemson more than anyone else has by far.. They just needed to get the running game going with Johnson and those guys. Auburn has their best team roster wise in years. They might not lose for awhile and beat UGA and set up another big Iron Bowl, they are built finally to beat bama with what Malzahn put together with good defense and now a QB that can sling it as long as the run opens it up first, and their OL makes it happen. They are the most improved team from start of year to now from watching all their games..
I agree...it's not awful...doesn't have classic Gator Colors that you expect to see. If they wanted to do something cool...they would bring back those '06 (I think) Chris Leak jerseys....those are the coolest damn Gator Jersey's I've seen in my life. They would have a couple of different color schemes but that style 100% of the time moving forward...helmet and all. They look badass!
What is terrible is our offense...worst coached and executed offense and we are in year 3. I know that Mac will be there next year but this guy can't go faster. Get in that QB and the players around him and fire Mac the 1st game of the season!
