Alex Baldwin calls President Trump a "sweet and generous man"

"I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I also support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun."

Donald Trump's Former Ghostwriter Won't Be Voting For Donald Trump

In 2000, Donald Trump released a book called "The America We Deserve." Even though Trump's name was on the cover, like many politicians and famous people in general, Trump worked with a ghost writer. In this case a man named Dave Shiflett. Well, Dave Shiflett was on "The Alan Colmes Show" on Fox News Radio and it turns out the man who once wrote a book with the Donald will not be voting for the Republican frontrunner. This story via Andrew Kaczynski at BuzzFeed.

"When asked if he would vote for Trump, Shiflett said no.

'I’ll tell you what really bugs me about him, where it really ripped it with me and Trump was the stuff he said about McCain,' he said. 'McCain suffered severely and I had a son who did two tours in Middle East during the last war and we had kids from here who went over there and some of them got hurt. They ain’t gonna be the same.'”

Shiflett also described Trump's politics back in 2000 as progressive. Saying that at the time he supported abortion, unions, large taxes on the rich, and universal health care. This dovetails nicely with the recently unearthed 2008 blog post from Trump's old website where he said, "I know Hillary and I think she’d make a great president or vice-president."
