Alabama extends mask mandate for another month. Governor says wearing a mask "can't hurt"

Ivey said wearing a mask "can't hurt" and is necessary to keep the economy open and keep schools open.

"The purpose of masks is not to punish people, it is to inform people," Ivey said.


What the blue hell? We've gone from 'Masks save lives! Masks eliminate cases!" to 'Well it can't hurt...besides, wearing a mask INFORMS people!"

And yet she couldn't prove that claim with data, could she?

She did not say she could not prove it either did she? Perhaps she felt the data would speak for itself, and as she was addressing masks, simply talked of masks. It is an intellectually dishonest argument to say " since she didn't bring it up... it's not valid" For ex. She did not mention that the 7 day moving avg. of cases had gone down again. A true statement that is not made any different because the Ala. Gov didn't mention it. She extended the mask mandate ! Ghost loses again.
