Winter Haven is like 1.5 hours for there...so it's not like Gainesville is in Ohio. I mean if the kid already missed all that work in the spring because his family problems took him away then this was probably going to happen all along and would be better to have someone in the line up that's going to be physically and mentally ready. It sucks because he could have been a huge part of this offense but it is what it is.

Well the only D1 colleges closer than UF are UCF and USF so if this is true I would guess he will be attending one of those

I would think either one of those. I would hate if he didn't play some where because of his problems. Time for these Freshmen and Herndon to step up.

He has been in the doghouse for a while - that was probably coach speak for the most part.

Exactly. Letting him out without saying they asked him to leave. He was missing meetings, late for practice etc plus the skipping out on the tab so he was his own worst enemy. Hopefully he gets his act together wherever he ends up.

Having the OC feed him Ex-Lax before a game was a sh**ty thing to do.

Defenses were scared to touch him. He was a real

"Offensive" weapon.

Meh. I expected one or both of the freshman to overtake him. He's ok, but doesn't really do anything well. Good luck to him. Y'all watch this and get to feeling a whole lot better, we got us a beast freshman back. He might be starting by the end of the year. Legit 4.3 speed, watch him destroy angles against the best comp in the country.

Scarlett is going to play a lot and had pretty much already surpassed Lane on the depth chart.

Paco, check out 5:41 on that tape. My god he seems a seam and just destroys it. They barely grab his jersey as he blows by.

With Mac's class last year and the current roster isn't this like the least damaging loss? I am not even going to bat an eye here, can't imagine him higher than 3rd, maybe 4th on the depth chart.

Crap! We just lost our number 2. If something happens to Taylor, the runs are gonna have to go to the freshmen.

So what, that play only took 6 seconds off the clock, what a waste.

Man this is the type of speed you have access to in Florida. Recruit the best skill guys from here and you'll have nothing to worry about on offense.

Yeah, don't know that I've seen any HS RB do that this year, I'd like to know how the guys rated above him are better, esp. considering the competition he is playing against. Look at the 2:08 mark when he lowers his shoulder. What number is Richard Desir-Jones?

No clue. Some stuff I've read said that he didn't really dominate as much his sophomore and junior years considering his raw ability, so I'd guess that's what his ranking was based on? IDK. Last back I saw destroy angles like that was Cook.

Look at his size for a true freshmen as well. He's impressive. I'm expecting a very good UF career for him.

Lane is transferring to Eastern Kentucky..."to be closer to home" and all.....

Former #Gators RB RT @Brady_Fred: I can confirm that Winter Haven alum and former Florida RB Adam Lane is transferring to Eastern Kentucky.

Yep it is pretty apparent and obvious why Lane has transferred and it has nothing to do with being closer to home.

Dude that kid has some sick speed. He out runs the secondary on a bunch of plays...by a long shot! I like his size too 5'10" 198 lbs.

Thanks for that video Oozie. Damn! How the hell did we get HIM???? I realize he is doing that against high school opposition and has one hell of an O line but..............he has the vision of Emiitt Smith but more speed can change directions on a dime. Give him a crack and he's in the secondary.

Playing time is what I've read. But yea I got zero worries about him, he played in one of the best divisions in the country. They also played a lot of nationally ranked teams. Unless he effs up off the field I see no way he doesn't excel from jump.
