Would hate to be a fan of their program in their position. Their administration has totally failed them. Even though he was a part of the problem Jimbo recognized that and bailed. The dynamics of college football has changed since they were on top and it will be impossible for them to ever dig themselves out of this hole because they don't have the commitment or support from their administration or the financial resources available to make needed changes. Its over.

Come on, man. This sounds like an argument against UF in ‘87. We’re still in the best state for talent. It’s not all bells and whistles to attract recruits. Unless this country goes into a ten year economic depression we can get out of this with the right coach, smart spending, and patience. Even Notre Dame has been fighting back into relevancy for the past several years after we declared them dead during the Weiss years.

You are going to look up in a few years and realize it will have been a decade since fsu was relevant.

Maybe but even between 2001 to 2011ish these declarations were being made about us. The arms race was a thing then too. If you believe our admin is incapable of righting the ship you have a legit argument. But to act as though it can’t be done is the kind of arrogance that led UF to Muschamp and McElwain after dominating Meyer years. The second one of the Big3 in Florida relaxes the other fills that vacuum of power. I’m not too proud to admit it’s how we got our strong foot forward in the 80s. As soon as Pell ruined what he built we stepped in and went on an incredible run.

It's not over, FSU has too much cache', but it's a looonngg way from being good again, they can probably get a couple of 6-7 win seasons next couple of years, remember they're playing in the ACC

I look forward to a fourth consecutive losing season in 2021.
