I have a feeling if we were to mess around and lose to A&M making it back to back losses in the Swamp the noise level will get much higher.

lol @ anybody thinking that Stricklin will make hiring/firing decisions based on social media.

There is no number of losses or performance measures that will get Mac fired this year...

It is quite astonishing that people don't understand that.

Its starting to take off some. Monty Grow and others are really calling out Mac. If we lose to A&M and Georgia the heat level will be turned up big time. Imagine that and a loss to Muschamp afterwards. Yes I know he got in trouble stopping at the strip club. lol

This is true and it’s because Stricklin inexplicably gave Mac and many of his offensive coaches extensions and raises in the offseason prior to ever fielding even a top 100 offense here. The buyout would be huge.

Lol...it is federal money laundering...Grow currently has some other things to worry about...

Oh man...love ya Fever, but dude, you just relied on Monty Grow as your example....

Well many other ex-players are saying it too. We will see what happens if we lose to A&M for consecutive losses at the Swamp like Muschamp was pulling his last couple of years. Some of these ex-players are buddies with the big money boosters. Just wait until after the Georgia game if we are on a 3 game losing streak with a crappy offense still. I would still say it probably doesn't happen due to the idiots giving Mac and company an extension etc. but I could see Mac lashing out under that pressure giving more force to the fire Mac voices out there.

You will see people like Emmitt Smith etc. not holding it in much longer if this offense remains a joke and we are losing games.

The UT and UK miracles are the only reason he isn’t fired yet. Otherwise we’d be sitting here at 1-4 with one of the worst offenses in the country still and no one could pretend that he isn’t running the program into the ground. Another year of Mac makes this a 5 year rebuild MINIMUM.

How about a boycott for the A&M game. If you go to the game and suooort this garbage, then don't ****ing complain. Strickland will take notice of that!!!

We still control our own destiny in the East race...yeah...let's boycott the A&M game...great idea...

This is so much deeper than where we stand in the SECe race. And I find it funny that our response to UGa elite play is that the ‘always choke against us’. We aren’t on the same level as that team right now, honestly not close

Damns don't burst at the first crack, nor with the 2nd crack, but the accumulating cracks do indicate that some serious maintenance is needed, or a burst damn will be the eventual result.... o_O

I know you’re all excited about how Mac could get fired, but the “without these miracles we would be 1-4” is silly.

Fun fact: did you know that if this were a typical year where we opened up with a cupcake, and then our second cupcake hadn’t gotten canceled, that we would have been 5-0 going into the LSU game? And oh bye if the holder doesn’t botch it, we likely at least go to overtime in game 6?

Do you really want to be that guy because you’re in such a bad mood?

I bet s4ason ticket and booster sales decline tremendously after this season… You guys are right social media won’t get anybody fired but the lack of sales will…You cut into UF biggest money maker you will pay for it…

I agree mac Isnt getting fired. Silly to think that. But he was hired to fix the offense and we are in year 3 and its not even slightly improving I see no indication of it ever improving.

I just think we have a deep enough UAA account to make it happen AND get a guy like Frost.

Sure, it’ll hurt, but this program brings in a ton of money.

Why would I be ‘excited’ about the possibility of him being fired? These exact same arguments showed up when Muschamp was here. Do y’all really think people enjoy seeing the team perform badly? My point with the record there is simple...this program has deep structural issues that was being masked by barely squeaking by shitty teams. It’s legit the only reason some have been able to pretend things weren’t falling apart despite all evidence to the contrary. Every part of the program is regressing, two wins over cupcakes wouldn’t be hiding that just like two wins over bad UT and UK didn’t keep those same structural problems from showing up again. And who cares where we would be with cupcake games included anyway? That’s not even a quarter of our schedule, its no kind of measuring stick. Isn’t it telling you have to resort to that if game?

And I’m not in a bad mood. Read the game thread...I made like one post at the end of the game. You haven’t seen me ranting and raving in multiple threads either. I simply don’t care that much with this staff anymore. Didn’t watch Vandy and watched maybe a quarter and a half of yesterday’s game. I have no need to watch bad football.

Please. We went through a 4-8 season and haven't had consistent full capacity crowds for like the past 8 years...

They can't even give tickets away with mini-plans and free cokes. The world is different now. Game day attendance will never concistently return to what it once was at its peak. The economics of ticket sales will have no effect on Mac's tenure.

It is all about performance and development ...and to this point, that has been fine (from a record standpoint). There are massive red flags from the development standpoint, but that just ain't getting' anyone fired right now.

Why would you be excited? Because it would end this era and give us the possibility of making the right hire?

Isn’t that what just about everybody wants?

Also, I didn’t mean to imply that you are in a bad mood because of yesterday or that potentially being 6-0 right now would mean that we are headed in the right direction.

You’ve been frustrated and “in a bad mood” about the program for a while. Rightfully so.

And my point about the record is that 1. Two can play the “of these things hadn’t happened here’s what our record would be” and 2. We both know that there would be a massive difference in General fan agitation.

Your team lost 9 players to bad choices and that makes a big difference in how your team is playing now. Maybe y'all get the WR and RB back for Jacksonville?

Wouldn’t say frustrated, apathetic. Compared to how I used to be with my rants on here the sameness level of care just ain’t there. Maybe I’m just getting old.

And I’d definitely like a new staff because I don’t see this one as championship caliber, but not like THIS. This current situation ain’t good for the program at all which is why I said it wouldn’t left be a 5 year rebuild. Think about what happens if we lose a Corral for example. We’re already behind a lot of our rivals talent wise as it is. I’d rather us win and me look dumb. But hell if they’ve managed to make a die hard like me barely care then I really can’t imagine what it’s like for recruits, ex players, etc. Last time we hadn’t ex players calling out the coach onljne was when Muschamp went 4-8.

I get that recruits build relationships specifically with the coaches, but I find it hard to believe that if Frost was hired, that Corral wouldn’t still want to come.

He definitely would I'd think.

This is really just academic...what is vs. what should be. I think most everybody realizes Mac isn't going anywhere, but should he? This is like the Muschamp discussion after 4-8 and the truth is Muschamp should have gotten 5 years. Why? Because after you make the decision to bring a man back after 4-8 you have to realize that we weren't gonna from from 4-8 to championship in one season. You gotta build back up from there. So if you didn't believe we were gonna win a championship the following year why bring him back if you aren't gonna give him a chance to build it back up? Knowing they weren't gonna give him that chance, should have just moved on after year 3.

The same thing is true with Mac this year. If, if, they've already decided he's coming back next year then they have to give him five or six years. Otherwise you're just wasting time. Because I highly doubt we're in the championship picture next year either. So then the question becomes where do you see us in years 5 or 6? If it's not at a playoff level, make a move now. It's not gonna happen but like I said just academic.

Paying a bit of the price for the suspensions, the injuries, the transfers at quarterback...not really feeling that terrible. Which is not not recognizing how much the offense has struggled for years, but simply difficult to imagine those struggles would not have been tempered by the presence of Scarlet, Calloway and more.

One tactical mistake...Zaire against Michigan. Would have preferred even more reps for Franks, who should be really good by year's end and next season.

Not seeing the suspension angle. Davis is performing like the best back in the league at this moment, how are we missing Scarlett? And for Callaway to have an impact we need to actually pass the ball...we don't. Look how underutilized Toney is for example. Both Scarlett and Callaway were there all last year and the offense did what all year?

I think we are actually more explosive at RB with Davis like said above. Callaway definitely hurt but teams have to deal with losses like that whether through suspension or injury.

With as good as Cleveland has been, having Callaway out there would certainly help.

Scarlett is talented but Davis and Perine have been killing it.

Could not overcome the loss of Massey in week 1.

And if Scarlett was not suspended, would Davis even be seeing the field?

I get and appreciate like to argue guys.

But the idea the team is better without those guys is silly....regardless of prior year's struggles. It is simply better to have more good players. As much as the team struggled last year, it would have been even worse most likely,

But likes to argue guys will argue, especially when nothing can be proved. Hence, the idea of opinions.
