4-star RB Dameon Pierce from GA just committed.

Yea. He was also looking hard at UGA. I think the big back they got convinced Pierce to come to Florida

Schwartz should be on board soon.

Gouraige and Barnes not far behind.

Then we really need Gammage and Williams out so we can focus on adding defensive studs

Pierce is tough physical runner. He's a high character kid as well.

Actually top end speed is probably his weakness, but we'll call it 'great' because he signed with us. Kids a great get, but again, everything for you has to be exaggerated to fit your narrative

Show Ignored Content appeared, so a jerk must have posted more of their usual clueless drivel for his circle's gratification. The worst of the jerks usually can't wait to show their idiocy, so nothing new to see here I'm sure...

You're dying to know

The Gator's latest commit, RB Dameon Pierce - Bainbridge, Ga.
His listed Top 5 included: UA, AU, UF, FSU, GA.

He obviously picked UF because they have no quality RB's on roster.

Because everyone (especially Michi-troll) knows that Mc-staff can't recruit, or out-recruit, anyone... o_O

Matt Jones, Mack Brown, and Kelvin Taylor have all gone on to the NFL

Mc-staffs Recruited Running Backs:

2015
Jordan Scarlett 5-11 206 **** (5.0 YPC)
~ D'Anfernee McGriff 6-3 225 **** (academic casualty, to JuCo)
~ Jordan Cronkrite 5-11 199 **** (2017 xfer out for playing time)

2016
Mark Thompson 6-2 239 ***** (#1 JuCo RB) (4.4 YPC)
Lamical Perine 5-11 218 **** (Ala 7A APB of Year) (4.6 YPC)

2017
Adarius Lemons 6-0 201 **** (begain 2016 as FL #1 HS RB)
Malik Davis 5-11 194 **** (broke Ray-Ray McClouds HS rushing records)

2018 - Verbal commits
#8 Iverson Clement 5-11 190 **** - Lightening
#14 Dameon Pierce 5-11 210 **** - Thunder

2018 Ht/Wt and position ratings are per rivals recruiting, others from UF site.
Now, IF they could recruit just 1 or 2 decent players, o_O
instead of just these no-talent scrubs that nobody else wanted...

I recently ran across what I see as some interesting speed comparisons.

RB Derrick Henry 4.54/40

RB Leonard Fournette 4.51/40

RB Dameon Pierce 5-11 210 4.51/40 - Thunder

Iverson Clement 5-11 190 4.49/40 - Lightening

No one said he won't be good or have a ton of success. All I said was that he did mot have elite top end speed as you said. Just because a player is good doesn't mean everything about them is perfect.

Wonder what the circle of jerks are responding to, but N-F-L....

But I'm sure that they will all agree with each other on what is, or isn't...

Surprise, surprise, Scarlett doesn't think that sharing carries with the other RB's is a good idea...
“Considering what happened last year, I don’t think splitting carries would be the best thing because it obviously got us ranked last. But I don’t know, that’s not up to me,” Scarlett said.

2017 is not last year. -- Splitting carries in NOT what got them ranked last in the SEC last year. Glad that it's not up to you, or to any of the other RB's for that matter. BTW, you sucked at picking up the blitz and with your O'lay blocking in general, and you were also a joke as a receiver, jus-sayin'...

Scarlett:
Vs UK 9 for 41 yds, 4.5 ypc
Vs TN 10 for 44 yds, 4.4 ypc
Vs VU 12 for 55 yds, 4.6 ypc
Vs GA 26 for 93 yds, 3.6 ypc (see how much better when getting a lot of carries...)
Vs AR 5 for 15 yds, 3.0 ypc (Thompson 3 for 19 yds, 6.3 ypc)
Vs FSU 14 for 53 yds, 3.8 ypc
Vs UA 11 for 17 yds, 1.5 ypc (Thompson 5 for 16 yds, 3.2 ypc)

Perine did well enough against UK, NT, MU, but he got very few carries after that. Both Perine and Thompson have continued to progress in the Mc-Nuss system since the Outback.

So while Scarlett is a very good RB, he's still just 1 of 5 very good runners, while he's not nearly the best receiver or blocker. But like he says, it's up to the coaches and what they do. o_O

I just wonder what Scarlett's opinion on sharing the ball would be IF Perine or Thompson was named the 'featured' RB, instead of him??? Play um all, keep um hungry.... (competition is good, right?) -- iG
===========

Both of the Freshmen RB's are reportedly progressing ahead of the first scrimmage.
McElwain on Friday, said he has been impressed with how the newcomers are competing. “[They are] ahead of where maybe I thought they'd be,” McElwain said. “I think both these guys will make our team.”
(so let's reward their steady work Mc, by letting them rot on the bench during the season)

Running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider said in the spring that he is optimistic about both freshmen. “I think they're both tremendous football players,” Seider said. “I think they're going to be ready to help us. They bring an element to this team that I think they can hit the home run.”

Yall wouldn't know what a good RB looks like. It's been several years since your best RB wasn't also your QB. Pierce will be just another average college RB.

WoW! Another phootball genius from the has-beens of the Big-Whatever...

Remember Emmitt Smith? Well, EVERY starting RB for the Gators has gone on to the NFL since Emmitt left early as a Jr to go play for the Cowboys. o_O

PS

And in his 4 years as a Gator, Tebow never led the team in rushing a single year...

2016 OL Jean Delanxce 6-5 270 **** 5.8 - Mesquirte, TX
The TX xfer is currently listed at 6-5 309 and will be available to play as a rsSo in 2018. He was recruited to play for Charlie Strong. Apparently he doesn't much like the new guy.
==========

Yet another Gator Walk-On makes the GRADE, and is now on scholarship. MLB Cristain Garcia is working on his Masters, having already graduated, and is now a ship 2nd string MLB. Grats dude, you've earned it, and it's always a pleasure for me to see a deserving kid get what he's worked for.

Just some stray thoughts I decide to put here, for the lack of a better spot....

WR Robinson was committed to UF. He only took an Official visit to tOSU because it was an available free trip, so why not? As soon as the schmuckeye weenie (or his staff) realized that was the case, did he/they set Robinson up in an attempt to screw both Robinson and UF? Well, maybe. The weenie might have wanted some payback for this....

WR Green told SEC Country he got“ bad vibes” from coaches at Miami and Ohio State during his recruitment. In a separate interview, Green’s mother shared similar sentiments. “The Ohio State and Miami coaches, it got to the point where they were harassing my son,” Cromartie says. “They jumped all over him for committing to Florida. It got to the point where I had to tell them to stop texting his phone." o_O
