Always have reservations about guys who transfer when their team gets a new coach. The hope is the expected new schemes don't fit their strengths so they are making a business decision to leave, the fear is the new coach told them to take a walk, which could mean they don't like what they see on film, or worse, attitude and behavior problems.

LG89.

What do you think the reason for Bogle, Copeland, & Diabate transfering was ?

1. New schemes don't fit their strengths - has Napier even announced his defensive scheme or hired a DL coach ?

2. Napier told them to take a walk

Don't know about individuals, but from people in the know (ie people in here) you get the sense of a lot of disgruntle happening in the locker room. I'd guess at least some of the guys leaving are due to them being unhappy and Napier not wanting their attitudes around any more.

I had a boss who used to say in company-wide meetings, "If you aren't happy, leave. Life is too short to be unhappy. Go find a different job, where you will be happy, and we will find someone to replace you who is happy here; then instead of one unhappy person, there are two happy people, and that's a win."

That's pretty true. I took that advice and worked out great.

Hating the environment you're in, especially if you're the only one or one of a few, makes anything much more difficult.

I don't think you can really judge transfers like you used to before the portal. With the freedom to move at least one time with no penalty, it makes it pretty easy for both sides to have the discussion that they should look around.

Silvera has transferred to Arizona State where he will be joined by Paul Tyson, who is the great-grandson of Alabama’s legendary head coach, Bear Bryant.

JMOHO, but he never really played up to his HS ranking/rating, and he's already passed once on being a Gator....

Agreed. Glad he went on to ASU and obscurity.
